JG-12C AC/DC spark leak detector is an intelligent spark detection instrument developed by our company with leak point counting function. It is an instrument for detecting the quality of anti-corrosion coatings on metal substrates. This instrument can detect coatings of different thicknesses such as enamel glass, fiberglass, epoxy coal tar, paint, and rubber lining. When there are quality issues with the anti-corrosion coating, such as pinholes, bubbles, and cracks, the instrument will emit bright electric sparks and sound an alarm. This instrument is designed with stable and reliable performance, and can be widely used in industries such as petroleum, rubber, enamel, and pipeline anti-corrosion. 1.Detection principle: The electric spark anti-corrosion layer leak detector applies a certain amount of pulse high voltage to the surface of various conductive substrate anti-corrosion layers. If the anti-corrosion layer is too thin, leaks metal or has gas leakage pinholes, when the pulse high voltage passes through, it forms an air gap breakdown and generates spark discharge. At the same time, it sends a pulse signal to the alarm circuit, causing the alarm to sound an alarm, thus achieving the purpose of detecting the anti-corrosion layer.

2.Structure composition: The instrument consists of three main parts: the main unit, the high-voltage probe, and the probe pole.

  1. Host part: equipped with integrated control circuit, sound alarm device, etc. The names of the components on the front and back panels of the host are shown in the following figure.

  2. High voltage probe part: equipped with a high-voltage generator, high-voltage output button switch, and lead out wire, etc.

3. Exploration section: There are two types of probes: straight probe brush and flat probe brush.

4Notes:

1.Before use, the operator should carefully read the instrument manual, strictly follow the operating specifications, pay attention to protecting the instrument, prevent dropping, touching, and high temperature, and do not place it near damp and corrosive gases.

2.Choose an appropriate grounding point during testing to ensure the quality of the inspection.

(1)For the detection of anti-corrosion coating on the surface of small volume metal objects, it is necessary to support the object being detected with an insulator20cmAbove, then connect the grounding wire well to the metal object for testing.

(2)For the detection of large volume or flat objects, when the tested object has good contact with the ground, simply connect the grounding wire to the ground for testing.

3.During the testing process, the testing personnel should wear high-voltage insulated gloves. No one is allowed to touch the probe and the tested object to prevent electric shock!!!

4.The surface of the tested anti-corrosion layer should be kept dry. If there is conductive layer (dust) or clean water, it is difficult to determine the exact location of the leakage point.

5.When the instrument is not in use, the power switch must be turned to the "off" position!!!

6.When the undervoltage indicator light is on, please make sure to charge it in a timely manner!!!
