1、 The advantages of centralized gas supply in the laboratory

1. High purity gas transportation is not affected. Using 316L stainless steel high-purity pipe valve components, the gas purity is maintained without being affected by the transportation of the pipe valve components.

2. Switch gas supply without stopping for ventilation. Adopting a switching mode for gas supply, ensuring uninterrupted gas supply. The system can switch between manual and automatic modes between gas cylinders to ensure continuous gas supply. Equipment shutdown will not be caused by replacing the new gas source.

3. Real time monitoring of cylinder pressure and remaining capacity. By using pressure alarm devices and remote APP monitoring systems, it is convenient to monitor the remaining medium balance in the gas cylinder anytime and anywhere. When the internal force of the gas cylinder is lower than the set low pressure alarm value, the pressure alarm host will issue an audible and visual alarm, and the remote alarm device will also send a message to the bound system's mobile phone through the APP. So operators can easily monitor at any time.

4. The gas pressure is stable. The system adopts a two-stage pressure reduction method for gas supply, which can obtain very stable pressure and flow rate.

5. Efficiency. Adopting a centralized gas supply system to place and manage all gas cylinders in a centralized manner, reducing the use of backup gas cylinders and the labor and cost of repeatedly transporting and transporting them back and forth. By using alarm devices, the safety and usability of the system operation can be monitored in real time. Installing a terminal control system at the front end of the device allows operators to easily operate and manage it. Thus saving time and economic costs.

2、 The hazards of laboratory gases:

1. The laboratory requires a large amount of gas. Some of these gases have characteristics such as flammability, explosiveness, toxicity, and strong corrosion. Once leaked, they may cause harm to workers and equipment;

2. When multiple gases are used in the same environment, if two of them can ignite or the combustion supporting gas leaks simultaneously, it will inevitably cause harm to personnel, equipment, or the site;

3. The outlet pressure of most gas cylinders can reach 10-20MPa, which is above 100-200 kg/cm2. If there is a problem, some components may be ejected, which poses a great danger to the human body or equipment.

Installation requirements for laboratory gas circuit:

Gas pipeline installation shall not be laid on the same platform as cables and conductive lines.

If acetylene needs to be separated from oxygen at a certain distance, and all interfaces must be staggered. When installing flammable and explosive gases as well as toxic and harmful gases, leak alarm devices must be installed.

Compressed air must be equipped with devices such as oil-water filters, impurity filters, and dryers on pipelines to improve gas purification efficiency.

The connection of high-purity gas pipelines is seamless automatic welding connection. And argon gas protection welding is required both inside and outside the pipeline (to protect the weld from oxidation, as well as to prevent small welding slag and smoke from contaminating the inner wall of the pipeline, resulting in impure gas supply medium in the later stage).

Each laboratory should have separate control valves, pressure reducing valves, and pressure gauges.

A separate control valve should be installed on the gas pipeline leading to the workbench. Control valve accessories and devices should be installed on the workbench to discharge various gases in a reasonable manner. It is recommended to install a gas purification device in front of the helium pipeline.

Every 1.2 meters or so, gas pipelines need to be fixed with brackets, with a maximum distance of 1.5 meters. Additionally, according to the radius of the gas pipeline bend, set appropriate support positions. All bends must be supported. All supports for gas pipeline installation must undergo galvanizing and anti-corrosion treatment.
