4、 Malmedie Introduction

The Marmedi TTXL drum coupling is a further development of the RTT, NTT, and TTX/TTXs series, which have been validated for many years. The new development has brought about an increase in capacity, while significantly improving operational safety, and meeting customers' demand for continuously improving performance with lighter weight and smaller installation space. Modern CNC manufacturing technology ensures that the connection size allows for equipment replacement. The TTXL drum coupling includes: coupling hub, coupling housing, outer cover, cylindrical roller, pointer, seal, cover screw, retaining spring, and thrust ring (fastening bolts are not included in the supply scope).

MALMEDIE drum couplings should be considered as complete replacement parts. Due to warranty reasons, the coupling hub and housing cannot be provided separately. The drum coupling is pre assembled but not filled with lubricant. They have corrosion protection suitable for normal storage conditions

The force transmission inside the Malmedie roller coupling is achieved through active locking. A hardened cylindrical roller placed in the hole formed by two circular gears is used as a force transmission element. The lid, shell, and seal can prevent external particles from entering and lubricant leakage. The torque is transmitted to the rope drum through the "plane" on the outer diameter of the coupling housing and the frictional force between the coupling housing and the rope drum flange. The connecting bolts (HSFG bolts, grade 10.9) between the coupling housing and the rope drum flange generate necessary friction and provide fastening. The pointers fixed on the outer cover and corresponding markings on the connecting hub allow for external control of the wear and axial position of the connecting housing relative to the connecting hub. For this purpose, there is no need to disassemble the coupling.
