DC resistance is a necessary test item for semi-finished and finished products in transformer motor manufacturing, factory testing, installation, handover testing, and preventive testing by the power department. It can effectively detect manufacturing defects such as material selection, welding, loose connection parts, missing strands, and broken wires of transformer coils, as well as hidden dangers after operation.
The measurement of DC resistance of windings is one of the routine tests for transformers, with the main purpose of checking whether the connections or mechanical characteristics between windings, windings and leads are good, whether the resistance between each phase winding is balanced, etc., to ensure the safe operation of transformers.
