1: Find a thick book to cushion underneath, and frequently tap the mercury bubble downwards. Pay attention not to make it too large and reduce the gap between the bubbles

2: If it is a thermometer within 100 degrees, you can place the mercury bubble in boiling water and let the mercury line automatically connect

3: If it is a thermometer above 100 degrees, light a candle, place the thermometer horizontally, bake a mercury bubble with the candle flame, observe the mercury in the bubble, and stop heating immediately when it flows to the other end of the precision thermometer and connects to the breakpoint

4: Gently place the baked thermometer and do not touch it with your hands to avoid burns. After cooling, use a soft cloth to wipe off the black carbon ash on the mercury bubbles.
