RE-201D rotary evaporatorThe principle:
The RE-201D rotary evaporator is mainly used for continuous distillation of large amounts of volatile solvents under reduced pressure conditions. Especially for the concentration of extraction liquid and distillation of the receiving liquid during chromatographic separation, reaction products can be separated and purified. The basic principle of the RE-201D rotary evaporator is vacuum distillation, which means that under vacuum conditions, when the solvent is distilled, the distillation flask rotates continuously.
RE-201D rotary evaporatorStructure:
A distillation flask is a pear shaped or round bottom flask with a standard ground mouth interface, connected to a pressure reducing pump through a highly reflux serpentine condenser tube, and the other opening of the reflux condenser tube is connected to a receiving flask with a ground mouth for receiving the evaporated organic solvent. There is a three-way piston between the condenser tube and the pressure reducing pump. When the system is connected to the atmosphere, the distillation flask and the liquid receiving flask can be removed to transfer the solvent. When the system is connected to the pressure reducing pump, it should be in a reduced pressure state. When using, the pressure should be reduced first, and then the electric motor should be turned on to rotate the distillation flask. At the end, the distillation flask should be stopped first and then vented to prevent it from falling off during rotation. As a heat source for distillation, it is often equipped with a corresponding constant temperature water bath.
RE-201D rotary evaporatorThe use of
1. A small amount of Vaseline should be added to the installation interface to avoid air leakage and inability to increase the vacuum degree during vacuuming. Require the use of vacuum siliceous oil, as ordinary alum can easily bond and cannot be separated under high vacuum pressure! The liquid level inside the bottle is lower than the liquid level heated by the water bath to prevent damage to the central axis.
2. The solvent content in eggplant shaped bottles should generally not exceed 50%.
When turning off the instrument, it is necessary to first depressurize and then turn off the vacuum pump to prevent backflow.
4. During use, someone must be present, and depressurization should be performed when boiling.
5. Set the heating temperature according to the solvent. Generally, the boiling point of the solvent is 80 degrees, and the heating temperature can be set at 50-55 degrees.
6. Generally, the cooling device is turned on first, and then heated to prevent solvent evaporation.
7. When recycling solvent bottles, they must be supported by a lifting platform to prevent the bottles from falling off when too much solvent is being recycled. The function of rotary evaporation is to evaporate the solvent, which is more efficient than conventional methods.
