The correct usage method of acidity meter for written test

For those who have had the test acidity meter for * times, they may be confused about the correct usage method. In fact, the use of the test acidity meter is relatively simple, just remember the following steps. For example:

1. Remove the protective cover

2. Clean the electrode with purified water (white crystalline salt appears around the electrode cover, which is a normal phenomenon for pH electrodes. Simply immerse the electrode in clean water to dissolve and disappear).

Connect (push) the switch located on the battery compartment.

Insert the acidity meter of the written test into the tested liquid until the liquid is immersed to a slightly lower immersion line. If conditions permit, the solution can be immersed to a position slightly higher than the immersion line.

Gently stir until the displayed value stabilizes (usually taking a few minutes), and read the displayed value as the measured value when the value jumps very slowly or up and down.

After use, please turn off the power, clean the electrode with pure water or distilled water, use a soft tissue to absorb the water, and then put on a protective cover.

7. A few drops of saturated KCL solution can be added to the protective cover to maintain the electrode.

Turn off the switch and put on the protective cover.

Test acidity meter battery installation: If the displayed value is blurry, the display error is large, or it does not display, the battery should be replaced. When replacing the battery, simply pull out the battery compartment and pay attention to the polarity of the battery.

Precautions for acidity meter in written test

a) The measuring electrode should be cleaned with distilled water, and the electrode joint should not be wetted during cleaning.

b) The connection between the electrode and the instrument should be kept highly clean and dry. If there are stains, they can be wiped clean with 99% alcohol.

c) When the acidity meter on the written test shows a decrease in brightness, please replace the battery and pay attention to the positive and negative electrodes (red is the positive electrode) when installing a new battery.
