On October 26-28, 2025, the "2025 Refrigeration Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction and Refrigerant Replacement Technology Development Conference" was successfully held in Shunde, Guangdong. Dr. Xiong Youhui, Chairman of Sifang Optoelectronics, was invited to attend the conference and deliver a keynote speech on "Technology and Application of Refrigerant Leakage Monitoring Sensors".

This conference focuses on the implementation of China's National Plan for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol (2025-2030), bringing together high-level expert representatives from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, well-known domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, and leading enterprises to share cutting-edge research results and application practices on key issues such as refrigerant substitution, policies and regulations, and market practices.

During the conference, Sifang Optoelectronics discussed future refrigerant opportunities and new generation technology challenges with industry experts and partners. Dr. Xiong Youhui, Chairman of Sifang Optoelectronics, was invited to attend the "Multi split Refrigerant Replacement Technology" forum and delivered a keynote speech on "Refrigerant Leakage Monitoring Sensor Technology and Application". Combining industry trends and enterprise practices, he shared a refrigerant leakage detection solution centered on "fast, accurate, and stable".

Dr. Xiong Youhui pointed out that with the widespread use of low global warming potential (GWP) combustible refrigerants such as R32 and R290 in air conditioning systems, leak monitoring has become a key link in ensuring the safe operation of household and commercial equipment. Faced with increasingly strict global regulatory requirements, sensors need to meet higher standards in response time, detection accuracy, and service life.

Sifang Optoelectronics has been deeply involved in gas sensing technologies such as NDIR (non dispersive infrared), thermal conductivity, and ultrasound for many years. As early as 2017, it officially launched the A2L/A3 refrigerant sensor project and has now formed a complete industrial chain layout. Dr. Xiong Youhui emphasized that the advantages of high selectivity and sensitivity possessed by NDIR technology have been verified by international reports, and it is a technical path that meets the requirements of R32 and R290 refrigerant detection. Sifang Optoelectronics' self-developed infrared technology based on non dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology with dual engines and dual light sources can better improve detection performance and system security redundancy. At the same time, innovative packaging and process technologies enable low-cost and high-performance refrigerant leakage monitoring sensors, providing strong support for customers to quickly adapt their products to the market.

With the gradual implementation of regulations in various countries and the continuous improvement of safety requirements, we will also continue to cultivate intelligent sensing technology, work together with partners to empower the green and low-carbon transformation of HVAC equipment, and jointly build an efficient and sustainable intelligent future.
