main content
The combination of high stability of wide bandgap (WBG) perovskite solar cells under UV light sources and wide near-infrared absorption spectra of narrow bandgap (NBG) organic solar cells (OSCs) has attracted much attention in recent years for perovskite/organic stacked solar cells (TSCs) with wide bandgap perovskite solar cells as the front cell and narrow bandgap organic solar cells as the back cell. However, the photovoltaic properties of perovskite/organic stacked solar cells still need further improvement.

In this paper, the team of academicians Meng Lei and Li Yongfang from the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences reduced the nonradiative charge recombination loss by passivating the volume defects of the broadband gap perovskite solar cells, and widened the absorption spectrum range of the narrow band gap organic solar cells, thereby improving the photovoltaic characteristics of the perovskite/organic laminated solar cells. The photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the prepared perovskite/organic stacked solar cell is as high as 22%.The research results of this article indicate that,Perovskite/organic stacked solar cells are a promising, high-performance, and highly stable solar cell technology with broad application prospects.

Charge transfer characteristics
As mentioned in the article,Transient photocurrent (TPC) and linear boost extraction carrier mobility (photo CELIV) data were obtained through testing using the multifunctional carrier characteristic analysis system PAIOS (Fluxim AG, Switzerland). In TPC measurement, the illumination intensity ranges from 0.1 sun to 1 sun, which are 10%, 17.8%, 31.6%, 56.2%, and 100%, respectively. The stabilization time is 100 µ s, the pulse length is 100 µ s, and the follow-up time is 200 µ s. In photo CELIV measurement, the delay time is set to 0 s, the illumination intensity is 100%, the pulse length is 100 µ s, and the final scan slope ranges from 20 V/ms to 100 V/ms.
