Combustible gas alarmAlso known as gas leak detection and alarm instrument, it is a detector that can respond to the concentration of single or multiple combustible gases. According to different working principles, there are two types of combustible gas detectors: catalytic type and infrared optical type. Catalytic type combustible gas detectors use the resistance change of refractory metal platinum wire after heating to determine the concentration of combustible gas. When combustible gas enters the detector, it causes oxidation reaction (flameless combustion) on the surface of the platinum wire, and the heat generated increases the temperature of the platinum wire, resulting in a change in its resistivity.

Key points of operation for combustible gas alarm:
How does a combustible gas alarm detect and send alarm signals
The detection principles of combustible gas alarms mainly include catalytic combustion, infrared, and thermal conductivity, which also need to be determined according to the range, on-site environment, and user needs.Combustible gas alarmGas detection is accomplished by a probe. When the probe detects combustible gas, it first reacts by converting the gas drop signal into an electrical signal and transmitting it to the controller, issuing an alarm signal. The difference in this signal is mainly determined by the percentage concentration value of the lower explosive limit of the combustible gas displayed on the instrument. The higher the concentration, the stronger the signal.
2. Working environment and temperature and humidity requirements for combustible gas alarms
Combustible gas alarms also have a certain range of environmental requirements, and the temperature range required for normal operation is controlled within (0-40) ℃; The relative humidity is 85% RH.
3. Requirements for detection area of combustible gas alarm installation
To achieve the expected effect and truly eliminate safety hazards of combustible gas alarms, the issue that must be considered is the area of the monitoring site. The number of alarms installed should be based on the size of the area, otherwise the alarm will be just a decoration and will not have an alarm effect. If the detection area is less than 20 square meters, one host plus one gas detector can meet the requirements. However, if the detection area exceeds 20 square meters, the number of host channels and detectors will increase.
Combustible gas alarmComposed of detectors and alarm devices, it is widely used in the petrochemical industry with combustible gases such as oil, gas, chemical, and oil depots to detect leaks in indoor and outdoor hazardous areas. It is an important instrument to ensure production and personal safety. When there is combustible gas in the tested area, the detector converts the gas signal into a voltage signal or a current signal and transmits it to the alarm instrument, which displays the percentage concentration value of the lower explosive limit of the combustible gas. When the concentration of combustible gas exceeds the alarm set value, an audible and visual alarm signal will be triggered, and the on duty personnel will take timely safety measures to avoid explosion accidents.
