Installation, use and daily maintenance of three-phase voltage regulator

  three-phase voltage regulatorIt is an autotransformer with continuously adjustable turns ratio. When the voltage regulator brush slides along the polished surface of the coil with the help of the handwheel spindle and brush holder, the turns ratio can be continuously changed, thereby smoothly adjusting the output voltage from zero to value.
1、 Main structure of three-phase voltage regulator:
1. Unit structure: Single phase 0.2KVA and 10KVA regulators are voltage regulating unit structures. A coil with a polished surface with a certain width on the upper end surface is fixed on the base of the project. The contact group's electric brush is in close contact with the polished surface of the coil under spring pressure. The rotating handwheel drives the electric brush to slide on the polished surface of the coil for voltage regulation. Unit regulators are generally desktop with protective ventilation covers on the outside.
2. Single phase assembly structure: A single-phase large capacity voltage regulator is assembled from several units of the same specifications. The brushes of each unit of a three-phase voltage regulator are assembled on the same spindle, and the coil input end is connected in parallel. The output end is connected to a balancing reactor to balance the current distribution between units and suppress circulating current.
3. Three phase assembly structure:three-phase voltage regulatorIt is assembled coaxially from three units of the same specifications.
4. Electric brush structure: Unit voltage regulators of 3KVA and below use 1-2 graphite electric brushes and metal frames with good heat dissipation. Unit voltage regulators of 4KVA and above use two copper graphite composite electric brushes. The pressure plate of the electric brush contact group is fixed to the upper end of the coil to limit its axial position, and is locked to the main shaft by screws. When dismantling, replacing the main shaft, or extending the main shaft from the bottom of the voltage regulator, simply loosen the screws to facilitate the process.
2、 Installation, use and maintenance of three-phase voltage regulator:
1. Newly installed or long-term unused voltage regulators must measure the insulation resistance of the coil to ground with a 500 volt megohmmeter before operation. Only when the value is not less than 5 megohms can it be used safely. Otherwise, it should be subjected to heat drying treatment.three-phase voltage regulatorThe heat drying method can generally be electric drying or sent to a drying room for drying. After drying, check whether the fasteners are loose, and if they are loose, tighten them.
2. The power supply voltage should comply with the input voltage on the regulator nameplate.
3. The regulator must be well grounded to ensure safety.
4. When using, it is important to regularly ensure that the output current does not exceed the rated value. If there is a short-term load, it should not exceed the specifications in Table 2, otherwise it may reduce the life of the regulator or even burn it out.
5. When using, the handle should be rotated slowly and evenly to avoid damaging the electric brush or generating sparks.
6. The use of the voltage regulator should be checked regularly. If excessive wear or defects are found in the electric brush,three-phase voltage regulatorElectric brushes of the same specification should be replaced in a timely manner, and the handwheel should be rotated several times with zero grit sandpaper under the brush to make the bottom surface of the brush smooth and in good contact before use. The replaced copper graphite composite electric brush must strictly meet the specification requirements.
