| HIOKI has released sensor units CT9555, CT9556, and CT9557 this time. There are three types of sensor units available for sale this time. They are CT9555, which has a volume of 2/3 of the old model, CT9556, which can output effective values, and CT9557, which can measure high currents of multiple wires and has calculation functions. |

| The function of the sensor unit |
![]() |
| The sensor unit is a power supply for high-precision current sensors with waveform output function. HIOKI's high-precision current sensor cannot be used alone and requires the sensor units of the three models released this time to power and drive the current sensor. Moreover, since the unit outputs waveform signals from the current sensor, waveforms can be displayed and analyzed using recorders, power meters, and data acquisition devices. |

1. The volume is 2/3 of the old model Compared with the old model 9555-10, CT9555 has only 2/3 of its previous size. Moreover, the weight is lighter than the previous CT9555's 600g, only 200g. Therefore, it will be more convenient to use and manage. 1. Capable of outputting RMS values CT9556 is a sensor unit capable of outputting RMS values. When using current sensors and recorders to measure the level of AC current, a powerful and expensive recorder that can convert effective values is required. CT9556 can convert AC signals from current sensors into effective DC signals and output them, so measurements can be completed using cheaper data acquisition devices. 1. Can be used as a 4ch power supply It is common to use multiple current lines to measure current simultaneously during current measurement. One CT9557zui can be used as a power supply for 4ch current sensors. Therefore, compared to using four 1ch CT9555s, the cost of system configuration in this way will be lower. 2. It has calculation function and can measure high current of multiple wires in large solar energy equipment In large-scale power generation equipment such as large-scale solar energy, extremely high currents ranging from 1000A to 3000A will flow through 2 to 4 wires, which cannot be measured by a single current sensor. Generally speaking, it is necessary to use multiple current sensors to measure the current values of each wire, and then the user can calculate each measurement value by themselves, or use measuring instruments (recorders or power meters) corresponding to the number of channels and current sensors for calculation. CT9557 has the ability to calculate the signal waveforms of multiple current sensors. The current values measured in each branch wire are summed up internally in CT9557 to form one signal output, eliminating the need for additional calculations and requiring only 1ch for the measuring instrument. Moreover, this calculation function can also be used for simple measurement of leakage current in three-phase current. |
