In 2013, three sets of QWA2020 moisture analyzers arrived in the South China Sea with the oil platform. From that moment on, QWA2020 moisture analyzers began to withstand the harsh environment of strong winds, high humidity, and high salt content at sea.

After more than a year of training, in early April 2014, two sets of devices passed the debugging and strict user inspection, and were put into normal use.

After 8 months of use, in December 2014, Micil Company sent technicians again to maintain the equipment that was put into use. Due to the harsh environment at sea, there is corrosion on the surface of the stainless steel outer box, and white salt crystals on the surface of the instruments inside the box, which poses great difficulty for equipment maintenance.

The engineers on this trip still have a daunting task of debugging the final set of equipment. Although this device has been idle for a year, it started smoothly once. Subsequently, after careful debugging by the engineer, the analyzer was ventilated and pressure adjusted, and the instrument was powered on normally. After calibration and other steps, the instrument operated normally and was successfully put into use.

After testing, the measurement data of three sets of devices were (28PPM, 21PPM, 26PPM), and the measurement data was basically consistent with the laboratory data. The moisture analyzer from Michell can withstand the test of high humidity, high heat, and high salt environments at sea. To provide reliable data support for the oil production of Liwan 3-1 oil platform, greatly reducing the customer's equipment maintenance costs and manpower and material resources, and gaining full recognition and high praise from the customer
