It is coated with a layer of porous gold film, which forms a capacitance with the inner core. Due to the water absorbing properties of the aluminum oxide film, when water vapor molecules are sucked into it, the capacitance value changes. By detecting and amplifying the capacitance signal, the dew point temperature can be obtained.
