High temperature and atmospheric pressure thickening instrument is used to determine the thickening time of oil well cement slurry under normal temperature and pressure conditions
Date: 2025-09-03Read: 1
High temperature and atmospheric pressure thickening instrument is an instrument used to determine the thickening characteristics of materials under high temperature and atmospheric pressure conditions. It is widely used in fields such as petroleum cementing, cement slurry formulation research and development, adhesive performance testing, etc. Its core function is to provide key data support for material performance optimization, production process adjustment, and quality control by simulating the flow, solidification, or viscosity changes under actual working conditions.
Technical Features
Determination of thickening time
By controlling temperature and stirring speed, real-time tracking of the time from the initial state of the material to the set viscosity threshold is performed to evaluate the solidification rate of the material. For example, in oil well cementing, the thickening time directly affects the pumping performance and solidification time of the cement slurry, thereby affecting construction safety and wellbore stability.
Flow characteristic analysis
Provide flow characteristic data of materials under high temperature and atmospheric pressure environment, such as viscosity changes, shear stress, etc., to help optimize formula design. For example, in the development of cement slurry, the proportion of additives can be adjusted by analyzing the flow characteristics to improve material durability.
Data recording and analysis
Equipped with a data acquisition system, real-time recording of experimental data and generation of curve graphs to support subsequent analysis. Some models adopt touch screen design, making the experimental curve clear at a glance and easy to operate.
Application scenarios
Petroleum cementing field
Used for testing the thickening time of oil well cement slurry to ensure that the cement slurry has a suitable solidification rate in high-temperature wellbore environment, preventing wellbore collapse or gas channeling. For example, in deep or ultra deep well cementing, it is necessary to simulate high temperature conditions (such as 93 ℃) through a thickener to verify whether the cement slurry performance meets engineering requirements.
Research and development of cement slurry formula
Test the effect of different additives (such as retarders and early strength agents) on the thickening time of cement slurry through a thickener, and optimize the formula design. For example, in high-temperature environments, retarders can extend the thickening time and provide more operating windows for construction.
Adhesive performance testing
Evaluate the viscosity changes and curing rate of adhesives under high temperature conditions to guide product improvement. For example, in the field of electronic packaging, it is necessary to ensure that the adhesive solidifies quickly at high temperatures without the generation of bubbles, and the thickener can provide key test data.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean the sample chamber and stirring blade promptly after each use to avoid residual fluid solidifying and affecting the next test;
When not in use for a long time, it is necessary to cut off the power, prevent moisture, and regularly add lubricating oil to moving parts (such as mixing shafts).
