1、 Multi functionalConstant temperature oil bath potDaily maintenance: Preventive maintenance is key
Oil level and oil quality management
Regularly check the oil level: Ensure that the oil level is within a safe range to avoid dry burning and damaging the heating element.
Observing changes in oil quality: If the oil color darkens or sediment appears, it is necessary to replace it with new oil in a timely manner to prevent the deterioration of oil quality from affecting heating efficiency.
Use specialized oil: Select heat transfer oil with high temperature resistance and good chemical stability according to experimental requirements to extend equipment life.
Cleaning and anti-corrosion
Weekly basic cleaning: After the equipment cools down, wipe the surface oil stains and dust with a soft cloth; Stubborn stains can be lightly brushed with a neutral cleaner and a soft bristled brush to avoid scratching the stainless steel surface.
Monthly deep maintenance: After cutting off the power, pour out the old oil, clean the inside of the oil tank with a special cleaning agent, and focus on removing oil stains around the heating tube; After cleaning, air dry and add new oil.
Check the sealing ring: If aging or deformation is found, it should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent oil leakage.
Storage and protection
Long term shutdown treatment: Clean and dry the equipment, wrap the heating tube and sensor with cling film to prevent dust; Store in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid circuit corrosion caused by moisture.
Re enable check: Confirm that all components are functioning properly before use, especially the power and grounding wires.
2、 Troubleshooting: Quick positioning and resolution
Abnormal temperature control
Overheating without stopping heating:
Observe the heating indicator light: If it turns off after reaching the set temperature, it indicates that the temperature controller is normal and the relay needs to be replaced; If the indicator light stays on, the thermostat is damaged and needs to be replaced.
The first use may cause overheating (usually ≤ 10 ℃) due to PID self-tuning, which is a normal phenomenon.
The temperature cannot reach the set value:
Check the resistance of the heating tube: If the resistance is too high (usually<100 Ω), the heating tube needs to be replaced.
Check the connecting wire: If the heating tube connecting wire is corroded, the joint needs to be cleaned and reconnected.
Abnormal temperature measurement display:
If the display shows a decrease but actual heating occurs (applicable to K-type sensors), simply swap the positive and negative poles of the sensor; The PT100 sensor does not have this issue.
The screen displays "000" or "999": the sensor is open or short circuited and needs to be replaced.
Heating and power issues
Not heated but oscillating normally:
Check the output of the temperature controller: If there is output but no voltage on the heating tube, it indicates a relay fault; If the heating tube is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
The whole machine has no power supply:
Check power sockets, fuses, and power switches; Most faults are caused by damaged power switches.
The power indicator light is on but the temperature controller is not displaying:
Check if the temperature controller transformer or LM7805 output is normal; If there is virtual soldering, it needs to be repaired.
Other common faults
Abnormal noise: Check if the mixing system is loose or if foreign objects have entered, clean and tighten the components.
Circulating pump not running (super constant temperature oil bath):
Rotate the motor shaft by hand: If it can rotate, it indicates that the capacitor is damaged and needs to be replaced; If it cannot rotate, the motor is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Leakage or tripping:
Check if the grounding wire is well connected; If the interior is damp, use a hair dryer to dry the circuit board.
3、 Multi functionalConstant temperature oil bath potPractical tips for maintenance and troubleshooting
Using a multimeter to assist in diagnosis
Measure the resistance of the heating tube: After turning off the power, use a multimeter to measure the resistance range (10 Ω). If the resistance is too high (usually<100 Ω), it indicates that the heating tube is damaged.
Check the relay contacts: If the contacts are burned, it will cause the heating tube to fail to connect, and the relay needs to be replaced.
Establish and maintain archives
Record the maintenance time, replacement parts, and equipment operation status for easy tracking of the root cause of problems.
Avoid illegal operations
Do not use or turn the oil release knob switch in an oil-free state to prevent dry burning or oil leakage of the heating tube.
Maintain good ventilation to avoid safety hazards caused by the accumulation of oil mist.
