On November 21st, the 12th China Modern Agriculture Development Forum and the 2025 China Agricultural Society Annual Meeting were held in Hangzhou. At the meeting, the 2025 China Agricultural Major New Technologies, New Products, and New Scenarios (referred to as the "Three New" achievements), which have attracted much attention from the agricultural technology and industry circles, were officially released. Topyun's rice phenotype identification and efficient variety breeding technology (new technology) and key technology and equipment for rice germplasm resources greenhouse (new product) were successfully selected, and the agricultural technology innovation strength and product landing achievements were once again certified.

In order to implement the large-scale application demonstration action of new technologies, new products, and new scenarios, and strengthen the supporting role of agricultural science and technology in stable production, supply guarantee, and comprehensive rural revitalization, the China Agricultural Society, commissioned by the Science and Technology Department, took the lead in organizing the selection of the "Three New" achievements. The selection process adopts a "recommendation selection" mechanism, focusing on accelerating the large-scale promotion and application of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, highlighting the effectiveness of technology application and adaptability to different scenarios. After three rounds of strict evaluation, including preliminary selection, multiple selection, and final selection, a total of 95 achievements were selected, including 37 new technologies, 38 new products, and 20 new scenarios.
The two achievements selected this time, "Rice Phenotype Identification and Efficient Variety Breeding Technology" and "Key Technical Equipment for Rice Germplasm Resources Greenhouse (New Products)", are the core support and important components of Top Cloud Agriculture's focus on the entire chain of rice "cultivation cultivation planting management harvesting" and the construction of an intelligent high standard planting system. In response to the pain points of late start in phenotype research in China, the company has established a phenotype research team led by scientists to develop a domestically produced high-throughput plant phenotype collection platform, achieving breakthroughs in key equipment and core algorithms for high-throughput collection and intelligent analysis of phenotype information, efficient non-destructive measurement and analysis of crops in situ, and solving the problems of low phenotype detection efficiency, low flux, low accuracy, and safety in plant breeding.

Among them, rice phenotype identification and efficient variety breeding technology is a high-throughput phenotype identification technology developed by Top Cloud Agriculture for efficient rice variety breeding. It has achieved full process localization and developed a fast 3D reconstruction algorithm without repeated calibration, shortening the single plant analysis time to less than 5 minutes. With automated multi-sensor imaging and edge computing analysis as the core technology, it has the important characteristics of high throughput (two-dimensional analysis of a single plant<2 seconds), high precision (error ≤ 2%) and nondestructive measurement. It can obtain more than 200 phenotypic parameters at one time, breaking the foreign monopoly, and providing key technical support for precise breeding of rice varieties and significant improvement of breeding efficiency.

The key technology and equipment for rice germplasm resource greenhouse are the pain points in rice germplasm resource identification, such as low efficiency, insufficient accuracy, and difficult data analysis. Top Cloud Agriculture has successfully developed high-throughput automated phenotype collection and analysis equipment for rice germplasm resources in suitable greenhouse habitats. The R&D team innovatively integrates plant phenotype identification technology and intelligent artificial environment to create a germplasm resource phenotype identification equipment with the ability of phenotypic analysis throughout the growth period, dynamic collection in vivo and precise regulation of multi factor environment. Through accurate control of temperature and humidity, spectrum, and equipped visible light imaging unit, edge computing and analysis unit, an intelligent scientific research environment of "controllable, measurable, and analyzable" can be built for rice breeding research.
The breakthrough of this achievement includes a multi camera 3D reconstruction algorithm that does not require repeated calibration, achieving fast analysis of a single plant within 5 minutes; The integrated automated transmission and multi-sensor imaging system has a positioning accuracy of 2mm. We have also developed an algorithm platform TP AIPheno that integrates data acquisition and analysis, with features such as high-throughput, multi parameter, in-situ non-destructive testing, and customization, providing key technical support for precise identification and innovative utilization of rice germplasm resources in greenhouses.
The results released this time fully reflect the requirements of the "four orientations", highlight technological innovation, and have significant potential economic, social, and ecological benefits. The technologies of rice phenotype identification and efficient variety breeding provide excellent seed support for ensuring food security and the supply of important agricultural products; New products and scenarios, such as key technologies and equipment for rice germplasm resource greenhouses, demonstrate the progress of digital technology, intelligent equipment, and deep integration of multiple agricultural formats. Next, Top Cloud Agriculture will continue to strengthen agricultural technology innovation, accelerate the application and landing of achievements, and inject strong technological momentum into comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating the construction of an agricultural powerhouse.
