How to extend the service life of ultrasonic cleaning machine
Date: 2025-12-16Read: 1
Ultrasonic cleaning machine is a device that uses the cavitation effect generated by high-frequency ultrasonic vibration to remove surface dirt from objects. It is widely used for cleaning precision parts, medical equipment, optical devices, and other fields. Daily maintenance is crucial to ensure its efficient operation and extend its service life. The following are detailed maintenance details and operating specifications for ultrasonic cleaning machines:
1、 Maintenance in daily use
1. Selection and replacement of cleaning solution
-Select specialized cleaning agents based on the material and type of dirt of the object to be cleaned, and avoid using highly corrosive or flammable liquids (such as gasoline, alcohol, etc.).
-Regularly check the condition of the cleaning solution. If there is turbidity, odor or too much foam, it needs to be replaced in time. It is recommended to replace it every 3-5 days, with the specific frequency adjusted according to the intensity of use.
-When replacing the cleaning solution, it is necessary to clean the residue in the cleaning tank to avoid mixing new and old liquids and affecting the effect.
2. Water level control
-Ensure that the water level in the cleaning tank is within the standard range. If it is too high, it may cause liquid overflow, while if it is too low, it may reduce the ultrasonic power and damage the equipment.
-Soft water or deionized water should be used when adding water to reduce the formation of scale. If the water quality is hard, an appropriate amount of rust inhibitor can be added.
3. Load balancing
-The cleaning objects should be evenly distributed in the cleaning basket to avoid stacking or overloading, otherwise it will cause insufficient local cavitation effect and affect the cleaning effect.
-For vulnerable parts (such as precision instruments), it is necessary to fix the position and avoid colliding with the groove.
4. Temperature control
-Most cleaning solutions need to be heated to a suitable temperature (usually 40-60 ℃) to enhance their cleaning ability, but it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions to avoid overheating that may cause the cleaning agent to fail or the workpiece to deform.
2、 Regular maintenance of core components
1. Transformer inspection
-The transducer is the core component for ultrasound generation, and it needs to be checked monthly to ensure its connection is secure and whether there are cracks or corrosion on the surface.
-If the performance of the transducer decreases (such as abnormal noise or reduced vibration), a multimeter can be used to measure the impedance value, which should be within the normal range of 2-5 Ω. When there is an abnormality, it is necessary to contact professional personnel for repair or replacement.
2. Cleaning tank maintenance
-After each use, rinse the inside of the tank with clean water and wipe it with a soft cloth to prevent residue from adhering.
-Soak the tank in a weakly acidic solution (such as diluted citric acid) for 10 minutes every week to dissolve the scale, and then rinse it clean. Do not scrape with steel wire balls to avoid damaging the surface of stainless steel.
3. Maintenance of filtration system
-Some models are equipped with circulating filter pumps, which require regular cleaning of the filter screen to prevent impurities from clogging. Suggest disassembling and cleaning every quarter, and replacing the filter element if necessary.
4. Circuit and power supply inspection
-Check if the power cord and plug are damaged, and if the grounding wire is reliable to avoid the risk of leakage.
-Test insulation resistance every six months to ensure equipment safety.
3、 Protective measures for long-term disuse
1. Cleaning and drying
-Drain the cleaning solution before stopping use, rinse the tank with clean water, and run it on power for 5 minutes to remove residual moisture.
-Open the device casing and dry the internal circuit board and transducer with the cold air setting of the hair dryer to avoid short circuits caused by moisture.
2. Rust prevention treatment
-Apply light lubricating oil on the surface of metal components such as screws and brackets to prevent oxidation and corrosion.
3. Storage environment requirements
-Store in a dry and ventilated place, away from water sources and chemical reagents.
-Cover with a dust cover to prevent dust accumulation.
4、 Common Problems and Solutions
1. Weakening of ultrasonic output
-Possible reasons: aging of the transducer, insufficient cleaning solution, or contamination.
-Solution: Add cleaning solution, check the impedance of the transducer, and replace it if necessary.
2. Excessive noise during device operation
-Possible reasons: improper placement of the workpiece, loose transducer, or resonance of the groove.
-Solution: Reposition the workpiece, reinforce the transducer, and adjust the equipment position.
3. Display screen malfunction
-Possible reasons: The circuit board may be damp or the voltage may be unstable.
-Solution: Power off and restart, check the stability of the power supply, and contact after-sales service if it is severe.
5、 Precautions for safe operation
1. It is strictly prohibited to start the equipment in a liquid free state, otherwise it may burn out the transducer.
2. Wear protective gloves during operation to avoid contact with high-temperature liquids or corrosive cleaning agents.
3. Regularly train operators to become familiar with emergency stop buttons and troubleshooting procedures.
