3 key factors to enhance the lifespan of portable catalytic oxidation

In today's era of rapid technological development, portable catalytic oxidizers play an important role in many fields such as environmental monitoring, industrial waste gas treatment, and laboratory research due to their high efficiency and convenience. However, these instruments are expensive, and if you want to ensure their long-term stable operation, extend their service life, and reduce usage costs, the following three key factors cannot be ignored.
1、 Accurate operation and maintenance process
1. Standardized operation: Operators must undergo professional training and be familiar with the various functions and operating steps of the instrument. For example, before starting the instrument, ensure that all connecting components are installed correctly and the gas path is well sealed to avoid catalyst failure or incomplete reaction caused by gas leakage. During use, strictly follow the prescribed parameter settings, such as temperature, pressure, gas flow rate, etc., and do not change them arbitrarily to prevent damage to the instrument due to overheating, overpressure, and other situations.
2. Regular cleaning: After using the instrument, key parts such as the reaction chamber, catalyst surface, and sensor should be cleaned in a timely manner. For the reaction chamber, mild cleaning agents can be used to remove residual reactants and impurities, but highly corrosive chemicals should be avoided to prevent corrosion of metal components. If there is carbon deposition or adsorption on the surface of the catalyst, it will affect its activity. Suitable blowing gas or specialized cleaning solution can be used for cleaning to restore its catalytic performance. As an important component for detecting instrument status, sensors need to be carefully cared for and regularly wiped with a clean soft cloth to prevent dust, oil stains, and other factors from affecting their sensitivity.
3. Timely maintenance: Establish a comprehensive maintenance plan and conduct regular comprehensive inspections of the instruments. Including checking whether the circuit system is operating normally and whether the connecting lines are loose or damaged; Check the operation of mechanical components such as pumps, valves, etc., and add necessary lubricating oil; Calibrate the performance indicators of the instrument to ensure the accuracy of the test results. Once abnormalities are detected, the machine should be immediately shut down for maintenance. Do not operate with faults to prevent small problems from escalating into major ones and shortening the lifespan of the instrument.

In addition, gas cylinders or tanks used for storing gases must also comply with safety standards and undergo regular inspections to prevent gas leaks.

Durable accessory replacement: Other accessories of the instrument, such as seals, pipes, joints, etc., although seemingly inconspicuous, can also cause a series of problems due to aging and wear during long-term use. When cracks, deformations, leaks, etc. are found in these accessories, they should be replaced in a timely manner. When selecting new accessories, priority should be given to using original products or substitutes that have undergone strict quality testing to ensure that their materials, dimensions, and specifications are compatible with the instrument, in order to maintain the overall performance of the instrument.
3、 Appropriate environmental control for use
1. Temperature and humidity regulation: The portable catalytic oxidation instrument has certain requirements for the temperature and humidity of the working environment. Generally speaking, the suitable working temperature range is between 15 ℃ and 30 ℃. Excessive temperature can accelerate the aging of electronic components and reduce catalyst activity; If it is too low, it may cause some materials to become brittle, affecting the normal operation of the instrument. In terms of humidity, the relative humidity should be maintained between 40% and 60%. If the humidity is too high, it can easily cause condensation inside the instrument, leading to short circuits. Additionally, an excessively dry environment may generate static electricity, which can interfere with the transmission of instrument signals. By installing devices such as air conditioning, dehumidifiers, or humidifiers, a relatively stable and suitable temperature and humidity environment can be created.
2. Dust and shock prevention measures: Dust is the enemy of electronic devices. It not only covers the surface of the instrument, affecting heat dissipation, but may also enter the interior of the instrument, attach to the circuit board, and cause short circuit faults. For this purpose, the instrument should be placed in a clean and well ventilated area, and a dust cover can be added if necessary. In addition, vibration is not conducive to maintaining the stability of precision components of the instrument, especially during transportation or on-site use. Effective shock absorption measures should be taken, such as using shock pads, fixed brackets, etc., to avoid severe impacts on the instrument.
3. Electromagnetic compatibility guarantee: With the increasing popularity of modern electronic devices, the surrounding electromagnetic environment is becoming increasingly complex. The electronic components in the device are susceptible to external electromagnetic interference, resulting in data fluctuations, misoperations, and other issues. To ensure the normal operation of the instrument, it should be kept away from strong electromagnetic sources such as large motors, transformers, etc. At the same time, the instrument itself should also have certain electromagnetic shielding capabilities. The circuit layout can be optimized during the design and manufacturing stage, and shielded cables and other methods can be used to enhance anti-interference performance.
