Operating procedures for Mooney viscometer:
1. Turn on the computer, press the power switch, and turn on the instrument power.
2. Double click on the "RhMoFo" software on the desktop.
3. Enter the main screen of RhMoFo software - click on the "Recipe" menu.
4. In the "Recipe" menu interface, set the temperature (usually 100 ℃), time (usually 4 minutes for testing and 1 minute for preheating), formula name, rubber material date, shift name, manufacturing batch number, rubber material name, operator, measurement range, holding time (set when performing Mooney relaxation), and other items required for the experiment.
5. Insert the rotor into the mold cavity, rotate the rotor, press it to the bottom, and simultaneously press the two "CLOSE" keys on the instrument with both hands to close the mold cavity and heat the rotor together with the mold cavity. Press the F5 key to enter the warm-up interface.
6. After the temperature of the upper and lower mold cavities stabilizes, press and hold the "OPEN" button on the instrument to open the mold cavity.
7. Insert the rotor into the center hole of the prepared film with a circular hole, and cover the rotor with a 0.03mm thick polyester film that has been punched through the hole. At this point, place the rotor into the mold cavity, and then place another piece of film on top of the rotor and cover it with a layer of polyester film. Immediately press the two "CLOSE" buttons with both hands to conduct the mold closing experiment.
When the test time reaches the set time, the mold cavity will automatically pop up and the test will end.
9. Remove the rotor, remove the adhesive from the rotor, clean the mold cavity and any remaining adhesive on the rotor, and then insert the rotor back into the mold cavity.
10. Save or print the obtained experimental data, then turn off the machine and power off.
