pneumatic control valveIt is the core element for regulating the medium flow, pressure and temperature in the industrial control system. The installation specification directly affects the adjustment accuracy and equipment life. The following are the key specifications and common pit avoidance points for the entire installation process:
1、 Preparation specifications before installation (avoiding pitfalls: early negligence leading to later failures)
Equipment verification
Verify the model, specifications, and material of the pneumatic control valve to ensure compatibility with the process medium (such as corrosive, high-temperature, high-pressure fluids) and avoid leakage caused by material intolerance.
Check whether the valve body, actuator, locator and other components are intact, whether there is any deformation or crack caused during transportation, and whether the accessories (such as bolts, gaskets, connecting pipes) are complete.
Confirm the flow direction identification of the valve. Pneumatic control valves usually have one-way flow and cannot be installed in reverse.
Installation environment confirmation
Avoid installing valves in damp, dusty, and highly corrosive gas areas, and keep actuators away from high-temperature heat sources to prevent electrical components from aging and failure.
Reserve sufficient space for installation, operation, and maintenance, and leave space for disassembly and debugging around the valve to avoid subsequent maintenance issues.
2、 On site installation operation specifications (avoiding pitfalls: improper installation affects adjustment accuracy)
Pipeline connection requirements
Before installation, it is necessary to clean the welding slag, rust, and impurities inside the pipeline to prevent particles from entering the valve body and scratching the valve core and seat, which may cause adjustment jamming.
When the valve body and pipeline are connected by flanges, the flange surfaces should be parallel and aligned, and the bolts should be evenly tightened to avoid deformation of the valve body due to uneven stress.
Valves connected by welding must use protective welding to prevent welding slag from entering the valve chamber, and direct welding on the valve body is prohibited.
Installation of actuators and locators
The installation of the actuator should be kept vertical to avoid uneven force on the valve stem caused by inclined installation, resulting in problems such as jamming or accelerated wear.
The locator should be installed in a dry and vibration free location, and the connecting pipeline with the actuator should be short and smooth to reduce signal transmission delay; At the same time, take waterproof and dustproof measures to avoid environmental factors interfering with signal accuracy.
The electrical and gas source interfaces must be correctly matched, and it is strictly prohibited to connect them incorrectly (such as connecting the signal line to the gas source) to prevent burning of the locator or actuator.
Installation of auxiliary components
The air supply pipeline needs to be equipped with filters and pressure reducing valves to filter out moisture and impurities in the compressed air, stabilize the air supply pressure, and avoid impurities blocking the locator nozzle.
Install bypass valves and upstream and downstream shut-off valves according to process requirements to facilitate switching and maintenance in case of valve failure, without affecting the overall system operation.
3、 Post installation commissioning specification (pit avoidance: regulation failure due to inadequate commissioning)
airtightness test
Connect the rated gas source pressure, close the upstream and downstream valves, and check whether there is any air leakage at the connection parts of the valve body, packing box, and cylinder seal. The amount of air leakage should meet industry standards.
When the testing medium is liquid, a pressure test must be conducted to ensure no leakage under high pressure conditions.
Action and precision debugging
Manually operate the actuator and check if the valve stem rises and falls smoothly without any jamming or abnormal noise; After electrical ventilation, test whether the valve opening corresponds linearly with the control signal.
Simulate process conditions and test the flow and pressure regulation effects of the regulating valve at different openings. If there is a lag in regulation or accuracy deviation, the locator needs to be recalibrated.
