Quartz standard covered colorimetric dishes shine in multiple industries with strict requirements for accuracy and purity
Date: 2025-12-15Read: 0

Quartz standard covered colorimetric dishes have become the core consumables in UV visible near-infrared spectrophotometric analysis due to their high transparency, excellent chemical stability, precise optical path length, and sealing design. Compared to ordinary glass or plastic colorimetric dishes, quartz material has no absorption in the deep ultraviolet region and is resistant to strong acids, alkalis, and high temperatures, making quartz standard capped colorimetric dishes shine in multiple industries with strict requirements for accuracy and purity.

1、 Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology
In drug development and quality control, quartz standard capped colorimetric dishes are used for nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) concentration and purity determination (A260/A280 ratio), protein quantification (such as Bradford method), enzyme kinetics analysis, etc. Its covered design effectively prevents sample evaporation or contamination, ensuring reliable test results for trace precious samples (such as monoclonal antibodies, mRNA vaccine intermediates) and meeting GMP/GLP regulatory requirements.
2、 Environmental Monitoring and Water Quality Analysis
The environmental laboratory uses quartz colorimetric dishes to detect pollutants such as nitrate, benzene derivatives, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in water that require quantification in the ultraviolet band. For example, nitrate has characteristic absorption at 220nm, while ordinary glass is almost opaque in this wavelength range, only quartz is capable. The covered structure can also prevent particulate matter from falling into the air, ensuring the accuracy of low concentration sample detection.
3、 Fine Chemicals and Materials Science
In the research and development of photocatalytic materials, fluorescent dyes, nanoparticles, etc., it is often necessary to measure absorbance or fluorescence excitation/emission spectra in the ultraviolet region. Quartz colorimetric dishes not only provide a wide spectral window, but their low spontaneous fluorescence characteristics also avoid background interference. For easily oxidizable or photosensitive samples, they can be covered and filled with nitrogen or stored in the dark to achieve in-situ dynamic monitoring.
4、 Food and cosmetics safety
When detecting the content of preservatives (such as benzoic acid), pigments (such as lemon yellow), and vitamins (such as vitamin B2) in food, some components need to be analyzed in the range of 200-300nm and must rely on quartz dishes. The evaluation of UV absorption performance of sunscreen agents (such as avobenzone) in cosmetics also relies on it.
5、 Research and University Teaching
In physical chemistry and analytical chemistry experiments in universities, quartz cuvettes are the standard configuration for conducting classic experiments such as Lambert Beer law verification and determination of complex stability constants, cultivating students' understanding of precision instrument operation and error control.
