Function and classification of pharmaceutical exhaust cabinets
Date: 2025-05-27Read: 1
Pharmaceutical exhaust cabinetIt is a key equipment used in the pharmaceutical industry to control harmful gases, dust, and microorganisms, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the production environment
  Pharmaceutical exhaust cabinetFunction:
Ensuring production environment: In the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical exhaust cabinets are used to control harmful gases, dust, and microorganisms, thereby ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the production environment.
Protecting personnel health: Many experiments conducted in pharmaceutical laboratories involve the preparation, reaction, and testing of chemicals, which often produce toxic or harmful gases, vapors, and dust. The exhaust cabinet can capture, discharge, and filter harmful substances generated during the experimental process, control them inside the cabinet, and prevent them from escaping and causing harm to the experimental personnel.
Category:
Biosafety cabinet: It is a negative pressure filtration exhaust cabinet designed to protect the operator, laboratory environment, and experimental materials from exposure to infectious aerosols and splashes that may occur during the operation of infectious experimental materials such as primary cultures, bacterial strains, and diagnostic specimens. Indoor air is filtered through a pre filter by a fan and sent into a safety cabinet, forming a vertical or horizontal airflow barrier. The airflow circulates inside the cabinet and is filtered by a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter before being discharged, thereby preventing harmful suspended particles from spreading to the outside. At the same time, negative pressure inside the cabinet can also prevent microorganisms from escaping. Among them, Level I biosafety cabinets can protect personnel and the environment, but cannot protect samples.
Bernoult exhaust cabinet: It is a common equipment in the pharmaceutical industry, used for the emission and treatment of harmful gases in laboratories and production environments.
