CO2 marking machine adopts gas excitation method, which does not produce pollutants
Date: 2025-07-03Read: 2
CO2 marking machine is a high-precision equipment that uses carbon dioxide laser technology for marking, engraving, cutting and other processing. It is widely used in industrial production for the identification, recognition and personalized customization of various items. Compared with other laser marking technologies, CO2 laser marking machines have more significant advantages, especially in processing organic materials such as wood, plastic, leather, paper, etc. Due to its high efficiency, precision, and environmental friendliness, it is widely used in industries such as electronics, electrical, pharmaceutical, food, packaging, and automotive.

CO2 marking machineThe working principle is based on the physical characteristics of lasers. The core component is a carbon dioxide laser, which excites carbon dioxide gas through a high-voltage power supply to excite gas molecules and generate a laser beam. The laser beam is focused through an optical system and ultimately directed towards the surface of the material to be processed. The high-energy laser beam is used to evaporate, melt, or ablate the surface of the material, forming marks, patterns, or text.
The specific steps are as follows:
1. Laser generation: CO2 laser generates laser through high-voltage power supply and gas excitation device. The wavelength of CO2 lasers is typically around 10.6 micrometers, making them particularly suitable for marking organic materials.
2. Optical transmission and focusing: Through optical systems such as lenses and mirrors, the laser beam is transmitted and focused onto the surface of the material, forming a small and concentrated laser focal point.
3. Material processing: When a laser beam is irradiated on the surface of a material, it undergoes physical or chemical changes such as evaporation, melting, ablation, etc. through high-temperature and high-energy effects, resulting in different processing effects. Common effects include engraving, carving, cutting, etc.
4. Computer control: Equipped with a precise computer control system, users can set parameters such as marking content, speed, and power through the computer, making the marking process more accurate and efficient.
The main features of CO2 marking machine are:
1. High precision and high speed: able to complete high-precision marking tasks in a very short time, with fine and clear marking lines and high resolution. Its marking speed is fast, which can meet the needs of large-scale production and efficient operation.
2. Strong adaptability: Suitable for various materials, especially for non-metallic organic materials, the marking effect is particularly outstanding. Common materials include plastic, glass, wood, paper, leather, ceramics, etc.
3. Contactless processing: The laser marking process does not require direct contact with the material surface, avoiding wear, deformation, and contamination issues caused by physical contact. The laser beam is transmitted through an optical system, enabling precise point-to-point processing.
4. Environmental protection and energy conservation: Using gas excitation method, it does not produce pollutants and has high energy efficiency. Compared with traditional mechanical processing methods, laser marking machines have lower energy consumption and strong environmental advantages.
5. Low maintenance cost: Due to the absence of mechanical wear parts, its maintenance cost is relatively low and its working life is long. Regular maintenance and upkeep can significantly extend the lifespan of equipment.
6. Long lasting marking effect: It can form marks on the surface of materials, and the marks will not fade or fall off due to the passage of time, wear, or external environmental influences.
