The all-new OmniScan X4 phased array flaw detector combines fast and accurate defect detection, advanced imaging technology, and robust performance with constantly evolving and diverse capabilities, expanding the possibilities of non-destructive testing (NDT).
Another iconic feature of the OmniScan series is its simplicity and ease of use. After decades of development and improvement, we have polished the software of the instrument into a clear and comprehensive step-by-step workflow, providing a series of tools to optimize the efficiency and ability of users from setup to analysis.
The OmniScan X4 airborne scanning plan generator is a typical example. It has been carefully designed and equipped with simplified setup tools, including clear 3D modeling, allowing you to define and scan workpieces in any direction, supporting accurate orientation and easy positioning of the scanning area within the asset.
Did you know that now you can use all onboard scanning floor plan tools on your PC or laptop.

Optimize your workflow and increase your productivity
ScanPlan is designed to complement the OmniScan X4 host and improve the efficiency and stability of the detection process. By enabling off-site settings, this computer software helps to maximize the on-site availability of the OmniScan X4 host, allowing you to work efficiently anytime, anywhere in a more comfortable environment.
Integrating ScanPlan software into your processes not only optimizes resource management and improves standardization, but also helps with more predictable budgeting.
Free updates - no periodic fees
The perpetual software license of ScanPlan ensures no hidden fees and no periodic fees. The installation of ScanPlan software is fast and simple, and can be directly installed from the "Software Download" page of our website. No need for USB software dongle. After installation, your ScanPlan software can be updated to any new version free of charge.
OmniScan X4 Scan PlanSame user-friendly interface
For OmniScan X4 users, no training is required. Using ScanPlan software, you can create non-destructive testing settings on your PC that are identical to the onboard scanning plan. All tools on your computer are ready.
Before entering the site, you can use integrated 3D modeling and Acoustic Impact Mapping (AIM) modeling tools to verify if you have optimized configuration parameters. When preparing a report, inserting screenshots into the document is easier as they have already been captured and saved on the PC, without the need to transfer files from the OmniScan X4 host.
You can create settings from scratch or edit existing settings files. If you want to create new settings, you can easily edit workpieces, select probes and wedges or presets, select groups, and edit scan modes in the same way as using the OmniScan X4 acquisition unit.

The user interface and functionality of ScanPlan software are almost identical to the scanning plan generator of the new OmniScan X4 flaw detector.
Simple and intuitive setup generator
ScanPlan software adopts intuitive workflow settings, making it easy for users familiar with OmniScan X4 software to get started. Firstly, select your workpiece parameters on the "Workpiece and Weld" tab.

The "Workpiece and Weld" tab of ScanPlan is used to define and edit workpiece and weld parameters based on weld type, length/width, thickness, material, longitudinal/transverse wave velocity, etc.
You can base it onWeld or non weld, geometric shape, size, thickness, material, etcInformation editing artifacts.
Next, you need to set probe and wedge parameters or select application presets on "Probe and Wedge".

The "Probe and Wedge" tab of ScanPlan is used to define and edit probe and wedge parameters based on type, pulse chip/receiver chip interface, length/width, and other information.
Then, on the "Groups" tab, you can select the number of groups and edit each group:Linear, fan-shaped, hybrid, phased array ultrasonic testing/0 ° band overlap, fully focused mode/phase coherent imaging or plane wave imagingYou can also rename each group.

The "Groups" tab of ScanPlan is used to select and edit groups based on group type, rule configuration, wave type, chip (first, last, step size, quantity), length/width, and other factors.
Finally, on the "Scan" tab, you can configure and edit the scan mode.

The "Scan" tab of ScanPlan is used to configure and edit scan modes based on mode type, scan axis (scan start, scan end, and scan increment), and step axis (step start, step end, and step resolution).
After setting up, you can save the file to a USB flash drive or OneDrive, and then transfer it to the OmniScan X4 flaw detector, other data acquisition units, or software.
The ScanPlan software supports the. uset file format, which is compatible with OmniScan X4 flaw detectors (all models), QuickScan iX PA+data acquisition units, and AeroView detection software (used to drive the OmniScan X4 host).
To ensure that you are always at the forefront of detection technology, you can receive feature updates and improvements to ScanPlan software through our free quarterly updates. ScanPlan license holders can also recognize the following QR code to download the latest version for free.
