Installation and cutting techniques for high-temperature resistant mica board

  High temperature resistant mica boardThe installation accuracy and cutting quality directly affect the performance of its insulation and thermal insulation. The following provides practical methods for adapting to industrial scenarios from three aspects: cutting, installation, and precautions.
1、 Precise cutting techniques
Preliminary preparation: According to the installation size requirements, mark the cutting line on the surface of the mica board with a marker pen, choose a sharp art knife or specialized cutting tool (such as mica board cutting scissors), and avoid using ordinary scissors that are prone to breakage.
Cutting operation: Lay the mica board flat on a flat workbench, fix it tightly against the cutting line with a ruler, and push the cutting edge at a 45 ° angle to the board surface at a constant speed along the ruler; If cutting a curve, you can first use a compass to draw the trajectory and slowly rotate the board surface to complete the cutting.
Edge treatment: After cutting, gently sand the edges with fine sandpaper to remove burrs and debris, to prevent scratching the hands or affecting the fit during installation; Do not forcefully tear the mica board to avoid cracking or delamination of the board surface.
2、 Standardize installation steps
Pre installation inspection: Confirm that the installation surface is free of oil stains, dust, and protruding impurities, verify that the size of the mica board matches the installation position, and if it needs to be fitted with other components, clean the fitting surface in advance and make positioning marks.
Fixed method selection:
Bolt fixation: Suitable for large-area mica plates, pre drill holes on the plate surface (with a diameter 0.5-1mm smaller than the bolt diameter), fix with high-temperature resistant bolts (such as stainless steel bolts), and tighten evenly to avoid fracturing the plate surface.
Adhesive fixation: Suitable for small area or curved surface installation, use high temperature resistant adhesive (temperature resistance needs to match the use temperature of mica board), evenly apply between the installation surface and mica board, press for 3-5 minutes after bonding, let it stand and cure until the adhesive is completely dry.
Gap treatment: If multiple mica boards are spliced and installed, the splicing gap should be controlled within 0.5mm, and the gap can be filled with high-temperature resistant sealant to prevent heat leakage or impurity infiltration.
3、 Installation precautions
Temperature adaptation: During installation, ensure that the installation environment temperature is below the lower limit of the heat resistance of the mica board (usually ≤ 100 ℃), avoid direct installation during high temperature equipment operation, and prevent the board surface from being deformed by heat and affecting installation accuracy.
Avoid excessive bending: Although high-temperature resistant mica board has certain toughness, it cannot be forcibly bent into sharp angles. The bending radius should be ≥ 5 times the thickness of the board to prevent internal structural damage and performance degradation.
Follow up inspection: After installation, visually inspect whether the board surface is flat and firmly fixed. After running the equipment for 1-2 hours, check again for any displacement or cracking of the mica board to ensure there are no safety hazards.
