3240 epoxy board is a laminated board made of alkali free glass fiber cloth soaked in epoxy phenolic resin for electrical purposes, baked and hot pressed. It has excellent mechanical and electrical properties and is widely used in multiple industries.
1. Composition and structural basis: The main raw materials include alkali free glass fiber cloth for electrical use and epoxy phenolic resin. Among them, alkali free glass fiber cloth as a reinforcing material provides high mechanical strength; Epoxy phenolic resin serves as the matrix material, playing a role in bonding and transmitting stress.
2. Insulation performance principle: The cross-linked structure formed by the curing of epoxy phenolic resin gives it high dielectric properties, surface leakage resistance, and arc resistance. Meanwhile, alkali free glass fiber cloth itself also has good insulation properties, and the combination of the two makes 3240 epoxy board an excellent insulation material.
3. Mechanical performance principle: Due to the high tensile and bending strength of alkali free glass fiber cloth, as well as the good adhesion of epoxy phenolic resin, it has high mechanical strength and can withstand large mechanical stresses without being easily damaged.
4. Principle of heat resistance: The epoxy groups in the molecular chain of epoxy resin endow the material with good heat resistance. At high temperatures, epoxy resin is not easily softened or deformed, ensuring the stability and reliability of 3240 epoxy board in high-temperature environments.

Measurement steps and usage precautions for 3240 epoxy board:
1. Measurement steps
-Appearance inspection: The surface should be smooth, without bubbles, wrinkles, and cracks.
-Thickness measurement: Use a measuring tool with appropriate accuracy to measure the nominal thickness, and the allowable deviation must comply with the corresponding standards. If the arithmetic mean of the measured sample thickness is between the two thicknesses in the table, the indicator value should be obtained by interpolation.
-Flatness testing: Place a ruler on the surface of the laminated board and measure the deviation from the ruler. The deviation value should meet the requirements specified in Table 2.
-Performance testing: Conduct performance testing according to relevant standards, such as vertical layer electrical strength testing, water absorption testing, etc. For the vertical layer electrical strength in oil at 90 ℃± 2 ℃, one of the requirements of 20 second stepwise voltage rise and 1 minute withstand voltage test can be selected.
2. Precautions for use
-Storage environment: It should be stored in a dry, well ventilated place, away from moisture, high temperature, and direct sunlight, and kept away from flammable materials and corrosive gases.
-Prevent damage: Avoid scratching or hitting the surface of the board with hard objects to prevent damage. For areas with scratches or damage, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
-Regular maintenance: For 3240 epoxy boards that have been used for a long time, regular inspections and maintenance should be carried out to ensure their stable and reliable performance.
-Processing precautions: When performing cutting, drilling, and other processing operations, appropriate tools and methods should be selected to avoid damage or performance degradation of the board due to improper operation.
