Epoxy glass cloth insulation pipes are widely used in fields such as power equipment, motor windings, and high-voltage lines due to their excellent insulation, heat resistance, and mechanical strength. Scientific daily maintenance can significantly extend its service life and ensure the safe operation of equipment. The following will explain from five aspects: appearance inspection, environmental management, cleaning and maintenance, performance monitoring, and storage standards.
1、 Appearance inspection: timely detection of potential defects
1. Surface integrity verification
-During daily inspections, focus on observing whether there are cracks, delamination, or bulges on the outer wall of the insulation pipe, especially paying attention to the bent parts and joints. If small cracks are found, they should be immediately marked and isolated to avoid accidents caused by partial discharge.
-Check the bonding status between the glass fiber cloth layer and the epoxy resin. Normally, there should be no peeling or foaming. If there are any abnormalities, evaluate whether the bonding failure is caused by moisture or aging.
2. End protection inspection
-Confirm if the sealing adhesive at both ends is intact to prevent moisture from seeping into the interior along the axial direction. If the adhesive cracks or falls off, the old adhesive should be removed and the waterproof sealant should be re poured.
-For insulated pipes with metal flanges, check the flange bolt torque (according to the instructions) to prevent loosening and stress concentration.
2、 Environmental management: controlling key environmental parameters
1. Temperature and humidity regulation
-The operating environment temperature should be controlled within the range of -40 ℃ to 130 ℃, with short-term operating conditions not exceeding ± 5 ℃ fluctuations. High temperature environment can accelerate the aging of epoxy resin, while low temperature may lead to embrittlement and cracking.
-The relative humidity should be maintained between 40% and 60%. A humid environment can easily cause surface condensation and reduce insulation performance. If necessary, configure a dehumidifier or install a heating belt.
2. Chemical corrosion protection
-Stay away from acid mist, salt mist, and organic solvent vapors. If unavoidable, apply a corrosion-resistant coating (such as polytetrafluoroethylene) on the surface of the insulation pipe.
-Regularly clean the surrounding oil stains and dust to prevent particles from adhering to and corroding the surface for a long time.
3、 Cleaning and maintenance: using scientific methods to remove dirt
1. Conventional cleaning process
-Use dry compressed air to blow away surface dust, with a pressure of ≤ 0.2MPa to prevent damage to the surface. Stubborn stains can be lightly wiped with a neutral cleaning agent (such as isopropanol) dipped in non-woven fabric, and the use of a scraper or corrosive solvent is strictly prohibited.
-After cleaning, it is necessary to air dry naturally or blow dry with cold air to ensure that no residual liquid seeps into the interior.
2. Special pollution treatment
-If it is contaminated with asphalt substances, it can be quickly wiped with a special degreasing cotton and a small amount of aviation gasoline, then immediately rinsed with water and dried.
-Coastal areas need to rinse salt spray deposits with fresh water every month and apply conductive paste to prevent corona discharge.
4、 Performance monitoring: data-driven preventive maintenance
1. Insulation resistance test
-Every quarter, use a 2500V megohmmeter to measure insulation resistance. For new pipes, the resistance should be greater than 10 ^ 12 Ω, and during operation, it should not be less than 10 ^ 10 Ω. If the value drops by more than 50%, it is necessary to investigate the risk of moisture or breakdown.
2. Measurement of dielectric loss tangent (tan δ)
-Add tan δ testing in the annual preventive trial, and the excellent value should be less than 0.5%. This indicator can effectively reflect the degree of internal moisture or aging.
3. Partial discharge detection
-Perform ultrasonic partial discharge testing on the insulation tube in operation, and promptly shut down for maintenance if abnormal discharge signals are detected.
5、 Storage and transportation: standardized operation to avoid hidden damage
1. Storage conditions
-Uninstalled insulation pipes should be placed flat on the shelf, with wooden padding at the bottom to prevent deformation, and the stacking height should not exceed 1.5m. The storage environment temperature should be 15-35 ℃ and the humidity should be less than 70%.
2. Transportation protection
-During long-distance transportation, wooden cases shall be used for packing, and foam buffer layer shall be filled inside to avoid layering caused by violent vibration. Flexible lifting straps should be used during hoisting, and direct hooking of the pipe body is prohibited.
