ECL4002 Multi functional Cable Identification DeviceAlso known as cable identification device, multifunctional cable identification device, and intelligent cable identification device, it is designed for power cable engineers and cable workers to solve technical problems in cable identification. Users can accurately identify one of the target cables from multiple cables through the instrument, avoiding serious accidents caused by accidentally sawing live cables. Cable identification starts from the operation at both ends of the cable, and it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the double numbering at both ends of the cable. This instrument design adopts PSK technology combined with precise algorithms. No matter how reliable the memory of on-site staff is, it cannot replace the recognition of professional instruments. This product has functions such as live cable identification, power-off cable identification, AC current testing, and AC voltage testing. It consists of a transmitter, a transmitting current clamp, a receiver, and a receiving flexible current clamp.
Transmitter: When identifying live cables or power outage cables, it transmits signals to the target cable. It is equipped with a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery, automatic impedance matching, and fully automatic protection. The transmitter adopts an integrated specialized toolbox design, using polypropylene plastic as raw material and adding new composite fillers for one-time injection molding. It has low density, strength, rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, and insulation performance. Its box can withstand a pressure of about 200kg. The main unit's large LCD displays the remaining battery power in real time, with white backlight and dynamic indication of the transmission signal, making it clear at a glance.
Launch clamp: When identifying live cables, the launch clamp couples the signal emitted by the transmitter to the target cable. The clamp size is Φ 120mm, and the launch clamp has directionality. The launch signal flows in the direction indicated by the arrow on the launch clamp.
When conducting live recognition, a clamp coupling is used to output pulse current, emitting four frequencies: 625Hz, 1562Hz, 2500Hz, and 10kHz. The target cable (which is a three core armored cable) is coupled to the target cable through the transmission clamp, injecting a composite pulse current signal into the cable core. The pulse current generates an electromagnetic field around the target cable for detection and recognition by the receiver and flexible current clamp; Due to the directional nature of pulse current, detection also has directionality.
When identifying power outages: a direct output pulse current is used to inject a pulse encoded current signal into the cable core, which generates an electromagnetic field around the target cable for the receiver and flexible current clamp to detect, decode, and identify; Due to the directionality of current, detection also has directionality.
Receiver: It is a handheld device with a 3.5-inch color LCD screen, built-in high-speed microprocessor, and precise algorithm to recognize and decode the pulse encoded current signal of the transmitter. It also has a signal strength calibration function to display signal strength and detection results, which is exquisite and intuitive; The dynamic display of colored scale bars is clear at a glance, with a √ mark indicating successful cable recognition and a X mark indicating non target cables. It can quickly and automatically identify target cables. At the same time, the voltage range can be tested from AC 0.00V to 600V (50Hz/60Hz), the AC current range can be measured from AC 0.00A to 5000A (50Hz/60Hz), and the current frequency can be measured from 45Hz to 70Hz.
Flexible current clamp: It is a Rockwell coil with excellent performanceThe transient tracking capability can quickly identify the pulse encoded current generated by the transmitter, suitable for thick cables or irregularly shaped conductors. The inner diameter of its clamp is about 200mm, and it can clamp cables with a diameter of less than 200mm without disconnecting the measured line. It is a non-contact measurement that is safe and fast.
Special reminder: This cable identification device has both live cable identification and power-off cable identification functions. When identifying power-off cables, it is strictly prohibited to connect them to live cables. The identification of live cables is only applicable to three core armored cables. When identifying, the transmitting clamp and receiving clamp cannot be mixed, and the input signal direction must be consistent.
