As the core equipment for measuring bulk materials, the stability and accuracy of industrial weighing scales directly affect the production and operation costs of enterprises. A scientific maintenance system can effectively extend the service life of equipment and reduce failure rates. The following elaborates on standardized maintenance plans from six dimensions.
1、 Daily basic maintenance
Basic inspections are required before and after daily homework: remove scattered materials and foreign objects on the surface of the scale to prevent sensor jamming; Check whether the drainage ditch of the foundation pit is unobstructed and avoid soaking the wiring terminals with accumulated water; Observe whether the displayed instrument value returns to zero normally. If there are residual readings, recalibration is required. For frequently used dynamic weighing scenarios, it is recommended to perform rapid dust removal operations after each shift, with a focus on cleaning the gaps and slope areas of the weighing platform.
2、 Maintenance of Weighing Machinery System
The steel structure of the scale body needs to be regularly rust removed and anti-corrosion treated. Anti rust oil should be sprayed monthly in humid coastal areas, and quarterly treatment can be carried out in dry inland areas. The supporting bolts should be kept in a tight state, and any looseness should be promptly re tightened and marked with anti loosening marks. The gap of the limit device on the weighing platform should be controlled within the range of 3-5mm. If it is too large, it will cause inaccurate weighing, and if it is too small, it will limit the space for thermal expansion and contraction. Before the rainy season every year, it is necessary to check the grounding resistance value to ensure it is ≤ 4 Ω to eliminate static interference.
3、 Precise maintenance of sensors
As the core component of weighing, strain gauges need to pay special attention to: welding operations are prohibited on the weighing platform to prevent damage to the sensor caused by current shock; Regularly check the sensor cable joints, and if oxidation is found, promptly polish the contact surface and apply conductive paste; Low temperature resistant silicone grease should be used to lubricate the joint parts of the sensor in low-temperature environments. It is recommended to conduct an excitation voltage test every six months and use a dedicated detector to verify the linearity of the output signal.
4、 Electrical system protection
The control cabinet should be kept ventilated and dry, and a dehumidifier should be installed during the rainy season to control the humidity below 60%. The wiring terminals need to be tightened once every quarter, with a focus on checking the integrity of the shielding layer of the power and signal lines. Surge protectors must be installed in areas prone to lightning, and the grounding performance of lightning protection devices must be tested before the thunderstorm season each year. The accumulation of dust on the internal circuit board of the weighing instrument will affect the accuracy of data conversion. It can be cleaned with a brush and a vacuum cleaner.
5、 Periodic professional calibration
Newly installed weighing scales need to undergo a 72 hour static stabilization period before calibration. The regular calibration cycle is six months, and for frequent use scenarios, it should be shortened to three months. During calibration, standard weights should be used for range segmentation testing, with a focus on verifying the repeatability error of the maximum weighing point. If the angle difference exceeds the limit, it is necessary to adjust the levelness of the weighing platform and correct the height difference of the four corners through methods such as shim plates.
6、 Handling of abnormal situations
When there is a jump in weighing data, the operation should be stopped immediately to check if the limit bolt is stuck; The display of garbled characters is mostly caused by loose wiring terminals; When the zero drift exceeds ± 2e, it is necessary to check whether the elastic body of the sensor is deformed. The problem of lifting the scale body caused by winter icing can be solved by laying anti slip grass mats, and it is strictly prohibited to forcefully scoop the ice.
Establishing a four level maintenance system of 'daily inspection weekly maintenance monthly calibration annual repair', combined with a digital monitoring system to monitor equipment status in real time, can reduce the failure rate. By standardizing the maintenance process, it is possible to ensure weighing accuracy and extend the service life of equipment, achieving maximum economic benefits.
