How should smart thermostats be classified according to their control methods?
Date: 2025-06-18Read: 26
The intelligent thermostat samples and monitors the ambient temperature in real time through a temperature sensor. When the temperature exceeds the set value, the control circuit will start and set the control hysteresis. If the temperature continues to rise and reaches the over limit alarm temperature point, the alarm function will be activated. To prevent equipment damage, the device can also be stopped by the trip function. The core is usually a microcontroller, responsible for receiving temperature sensor signals, data processing, and controlling output to achieve accurate temperature adjustment. The entire system will also be supplemented with components such as resistors, capacitors, and crystal oscillators to construct the working system of the microcontroller.
Classification of intelligent temperature controllers:
-Classified by application scenario: can be divided into commercial and industrial types. Commercial type is mainly used in commercial buildings such as shopping malls and hotels, which can intelligently manage temperature, reduce energy consumption, and improve operational efficiency; Industrial type focuses on the industrial production process, ensuring stable temperature in the production environment, improving product quality and production efficiency.
-Classified by control method: can be divided into PID regulation type, switch control type, etc. The PID control type can accurately adjust based on the proportion, integral, and derivative of temperature deviation, and is suitable for situations where high temperature control accuracy is required; The switch control type simply controls the device's switch based on whether the temperature exceeds the set value, and is suitable for situations where temperature control requirements are not particularly high.

Precautions for using intelligent temperature controller:
1. Installation environment: It should be avoided to install in places with direct sunlight, humidity, corrosive gases or dust, so as not to affect its performance and service life. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the installation location is easy to operate and maintain, and that there are no obstacles around to block heat dissipation.
2. Power requirements: Confirm that the input voltage matches the rated voltage of the intelligent thermostat, and the voltage fluctuation should be within the allowable range. Avoid overloading or undervoltage of the power supply to prevent damage to the equipment. If using battery power, pay attention to the battery level and replacement cycle.
3. Correct wiring: Strictly follow the wiring diagram to ensure that all lines are connected correctly and without errors. During the wiring process, attention should be paid to preventing impurities such as water, mud, dust, etc. from entering the interior of the thermostat to avoid short circuits or other faults.
4. Regular maintenance: Regularly clean the surface of dust and debris to keep it clean and dry. At the same time, check whether the connecting wires are loose or damaged, and promptly handle any abnormalities. Regularly calibrate sensors to ensure measurement accuracy.
5. Parameter setting: Reasonably set temperature control parameters according to actual needs, avoiding setting too high or too low temperatures to avoid energy waste or equipment damage. When modifying parameters, be cautious and ensure that the settings are correct before saving.
6. Safety protection: When using, pay attention to safe use of electricity to avoid electric shock accidents. Do not disassemble the thermostat at will to avoid damaging its internal structure and sealing, which may pose a safety hazard. If abnormal conditions such as odor or smoke are found in the equipment, it should be immediately stopped from use and the power should be cut off.
