Xiamen Yiheng only sells standard conscience scales

It is reported that from March 8th to 15th, the Comprehensive Work Group Office of Market Supervision in Xiamen organized market supervision departments and quality supervision departments to jointly carry out special inspections in agricultural markets, wholesale markets, seafood stalls and other fields, focusing on checking whether the measuring performance of electronic scales used by operators is qualified and whether they have undergone mandatory testing, and cracking down on measurement fraud. During the operation, relevant personnel jointly inspected 14 agricultural markets, 3 wholesale markets, and 18 seafood restaurants and stalls, covering six districts throughout the city.

Upon inspection, it was found that some seafood vendors in Kaihe Market still use "password scales" to reduce their weight. The electronic scale used at the seafood stall in front of No. 60 Kaihe Road can be controlled by a password. A standard weight of 2 kilograms can weigh 6 different weights, with the least weight increasing by 100 grams and the most weight increasing by 600 grams. The two electronic scales used at the seafood stall in front of 117 Kaihe Road also have the same situation.

In the vicinity of Qianpu Hongwen and Gaoqi Aquatic Products Wholesale Market in Siming District, Xiamen City, as well as Haicang Avenue in Haicang District and Chengxi Market in Tong'an District, relevant personnel jointly conducted surprise inspections of 13 seafood stalls with high complaint volumes. They found that the electronic pricing scales used by 6 stalls could display different weights through operating buttons and used unqualified electronic scales.
