Inaccurate measurement data: This is the most common fault. Possible adhesion of material residue to the sensor probe may form a dirt layer, affecting the transmission of vibration or shear signals; It may also be due to the failure of temperature compensation function, where the viscosity value is not corrected in a timely manner when the temperature inside the reactor fluctuates (most fluids have significant viscosity changes with temperature); It may also be due to incorrect device parameter settings, such as not selecting the corresponding measurement mode based on material characteristics (such as Newtonian fluid/non Newtonian fluid).
No measurement signal output: First, check if the connection wire between the sensor and the host is loose or damaged. Signal transmission interruption can cause no data; Secondly, it may be due to damage to the sensor probe, such as breakage of the vibrating element or burning of the induction coil, which prevents the generation or reception of measurement signals; In addition, if the material inside the reaction vessel is too viscous or solidifies, wrapping the probe and preventing it from vibrating properly can also lead to signal loss.
Frequent equipment alarms: Low liquid level alarms may be due to insufficient material in the reaction vessel and incomplete immersion of the probe (most online viscometers require the probe to be immersed in the material for measurement); Overload alarm is usually caused by the presence of hard impurities in the material, which can cause the probe to rotate or vibrate components; The high temperature alarm may be due to the actual temperature of the reaction vessel exceeding the tolerance range of the viscometer, or the equipment's own heat dissipation failure.
Excessive fluctuation in measurement data: If the mixing inside the reaction vessel is uneven and there is a large difference in local viscosity of the material, it will cause the data to fluctuate between high and low; If the sensor is installed improperly (such as near the mixing blade or feed inlet), it will be affected by fluid turbulence and impact, resulting in a decrease in measurement stability; In addition, unstable power supply voltage can cause fluctuations in equipment power supply and also lead to data fluctuations.
