Multi component gas analyzer is a precision instrument used for simultaneously detecting and analyzing the concentrations of multiple components in mixed gases. Its core is based on physical or chemical principles to achieve qualitative and quantitative analysis of different gas molecules.
1. Infrared absorption spectroscopy: This method utilizes the selective absorption characteristics of gas molecules towards specific wavelengths of infrared light. When infrared light passes through the gas sample to be tested, specific wavelengths of light will be absorbed by the target gas molecules. By measuring the change in transmitted light intensity, the gas concentration can be calculated. For example, gases such as CO, CO2, and CH2 can be efficiently detected using this method, which has the advantages of fast response and good stability.
2. Laser Raman spectroscopy: based on the Raman scattering effect generated by the interaction between laser and gas molecules. The Raman scattering signals of different gas molecules have characteristic peaks. By analyzing the intensity of these characteristic peaks, rapid online detection of multi-component gases can be achieved, especially suitable for the analysis of hydrocarbons such as H2 and C2H2.
3. Electrochemical method: An electrical signal is generated through a chemical reaction between a gas and an electrode, and the gas concentration is calculated based on the intensity of the electrical signal. This method is suitable for the detection of gases such as O2, CO, H2S, etc., and has the characteristics of short response time and good selectivity.
4. Gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry: The gas chromatograph separates the mixed gas into individual components through a chromatographic column, and then performs qualitative and quantitative analysis using a mass spectrometer. Despite requiring complex preprocessing steps and long response times, it can simultaneously detect multiple gas components.
5. Catalytic combustion method: using the heat generated by the combustion of combustible gases under the action of catalysts to detect concentration, suitable for rapid response monitoring of combustible gases such as methane and hydrogen.
Precautions for using multi-component gas analyzer:
-Operational safety: Maintain good ventilation around the instrument, especially when detecting high concentration gases, and strengthen ventilation to prevent accidents caused by leaks.
-Anti cross contamination: Before replacing the detection gas, clean the pipeline system with clean gas to ensure no residual interference.
-Parameter setting: Configure channel parameters according to detection requirements to avoid cross interference when multiple components are detected simultaneously.
