The electric contact water level gauge measuring cylinder is a device used to monitor changes in water level, widely used in industrial boilers, water treatment systems, reservoirs, and other scenarios. The core principle is to trigger an alarm or control signal through the change in conductivity state when the electrode contacts the water surface.
1、 Preparation before using the electric contact water level gauge measuring cylinder:
1. Check the equipment status:
Confirm that the appearance of the measuring cylinder is undamaged, the electrode surface is clean, and there is no dirt or corrosion.
Check if the wiring is secure, the cable insulation is good, and avoid short circuits or leakage.
2. Installation requirements:
The measuring cylinder should be installed vertically to avoid water level detection errors caused by tilting.
The installation position should avoid areas with turbulent water flow or abundant bubbles to ensure a stable water level.
The grounding wire connection is reliable to prevent lightning strikes or electrostatic interference.
3. Calibrate water level:
According to actual needs, set high and low water level alarm points (by adjusting electrode positions or setting parameters).
Use a standard water level gauge or a known water level for calibration to ensure that the displayed value is consistent with the actual water level.
2、 Operation steps for measuring cylinder of electric contact water level gauge:
1. Startup and monitoring
Connect the power and observe whether the indicator light or instrument display is normal.
The initial water level should be between the two electrodes to avoid the electrodes being above or below the water surface for a long time.
Continuously monitor water level changes and record whether high and low water level alarm signals are accurately triggered.
2. Water level alarm processing
Low water level alarm:
Check if the water supply system is functioning properly, eliminate pump malfunctions or pipe blockages.
Manually replenish water to the normal water level and clear the alarm.
High water level alarm:
Check if the drainage system is unobstructed to avoid overflow or equipment overpressure.
Close the inlet valve, activate the drain valve, and lower the water level.
3. Daily maintenance
Regularly clean the inside of the measuring cylinder to remove scale, impurities, or sediment.
Check the electrode contact performance and remove the oxide layer or corrosive substances on the electrode surface.
Test the alarm function to ensure that high and low water level signals trigger normally.
3、 Shutdown and long-term disuse of the measuring cylinder of the electric contact water level gauge
1. Normal shutdown:
Turn off the power, disconnect the cable, and drain the water from the measuring cylinder.
Clean the electrodes and the inner wall of the measuring cylinder, and apply anti rust oil for protection.
2. Long term discontinuation:
Store the equipment in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture or high temperatures.
Regularly (quarterly) conduct power on inspections to prevent component aging.
