Infrared temperature measurement of glass melting furnace
Glass manufacturing is a high energy consumption process, and the precise control of temperature distribution in the melting furnace, as the core equipment, directly affects product quality, energy consumption level, and furnace life. Traditional contact temperature measurement methods have many limitations in high-temperature and highly corrosive glass melting furnace environments, while infrared temperature measurement technology has become an important means of temperature monitoring in modern glass industry due to its non-contact, fast response, and high precision advantages.
The balance of the thermal field inside the furnace during the glass melting process has a decisive impact on the quality of the glass liquid and the efficiency of the production line. Based on the characteristics of this process, the kiln thermal field monitoring scheme developed by Gewu Youxin adopts advanced optical sensing technology to achieve full kiln area monitoring through multi-dimensional temperature field scanning. The system utilizes the principle of remote detection and has millisecond level dynamic response capability, which can accurately capture temperature gradient changes in key areas such as feeding ports, melting pools, and clarification zones. Based on the real-time generated three-dimensional temperature field model, operators can optimize the air-fuel ratio parameters of the combustion system, dynamically adjust the raw material feeding ratio, and effectively improve the thermal uniformity during the glass phase transition process.
Special requirements for temperature measurement in glass melting furnaces
1Adaptability to high temperature environment
The working temperature of glass melting furnace is usually between 1500-1600℃The infrared temperature measurement equipment is required to have:
High temperature range (usually covering 800-1800)℃)
Good thermal stability
Effective cooling protection system
2Measurement accuracy requirements
Glass production requires high temperature control accuracy, generally meeting the following requirements:
Absolute accuracy: ± 1% reading or ± 5℃(Take the larger value)
Repeatability accuracy: ± 0.5% reading or ± 3℃
3Tolerance to harsh environments
Need to consider:
Kiln dust interference
High temperature radiation impact
Possible chemical corrosion
The temperature monitoring of glass melting furnaces is crucial for production safety and efficiency. By continuously monitoring the surface temperature of the lattice bricks and refractory materials inside the furnace through infrared temperature measurement technology, local overheating or abnormal temperature zones can be detected in a timely manner. These temperature changes often correspond to erosion or cracking of the material, for example, when the temperature of a refractory brick remains above 50 ℃ in the surrounding area, it usually indicates that the area has undergone significant thinning. Based on these data, the factory can accurately determine the location that needs to be repaired, avoiding resource waste caused by premature shutdown for maintenance, and also preventing the risk of material leakage due to excessive material loss, transforming traditional passive maintenance into preventive maintenance.
When infrared thermal imaging detection method is applied to glass melting furnaces, non-contact monitoring technology is used instead of traditional manual inspection to avoid production interruption caused by kiln shutdown and maintenance. This system can perform large-scale temperature scanning on the furnace body and refractory structure, accurately identify hot spot anomalies in areas such as the melt pool and feed channel, and monitor the erosion status of refractory materials in real time. The Gewu Youxin melting furnace status monitoring system presents the flame distribution status of the burner clearly through the kiln head image. The cylinder monitoring module realizes 24-hour temperature field analysis, hot spot area positioning, and over temperature alarm functions. It supports video recording and temperature data tracing, providing visual basis for refractory material failure warning.
