Suitable for various colleges and universities laboratories, industrial and mining enterprise laboratories, for chemical analysis, physical determination, as well as heating, roasting, drying, and heat treatment of metals, ceramics sintering and melting, small steel parts, etc.

The experimental furnace is mainly suitable for various college laboratories, industrial and mining enterprise laboratories, for chemical analysis, physical determination, as well as heating, roasting, drying, and heat treatment of metals, ceramics, small steel parts, etc.

Experimental furnaces can be divided into: resistance wire heating experimental furnace;Silicon carbon rod heating experimental furnaceAnd silicon molybdenum rod heating experimental furnace.

Selection of heating elements for experimental furnaces

1、 Basic points for selecting electric heating elements

1. According to temperature: (heating element temperature=furnace temperature+100-200 degrees)

Generally, when the furnace temperature is less than 1000 degrees, NiCr and FeCrAl are selected

The furnace temperature is between 1000-1200 degrees Celsius, and FeCrAl (Cr27Al7Mo2) is selected

If the furnace temperature is greater than 1200 degrees, pure metal or non-metal should be selected

2. Based on the structural characteristics of the furnace

3. According to the condition of the heat-treated workpiece

4. High radiation efficiency

5. Convenient source

2、 The selection of electric heating elements should have the following properties

High resistance, large cross-sectional area, good mechanical strength, low coefficient of thermal expansion, stable chemical properties

3、 Selection of surface load (W) for heating elements

The larger the W, the shorter the lifespan

When the temperature inside the furnace is high and there is a corrosive atmosphere, W should be taken as small

When the heating element has a shielding material (such as a trolley furnace, where the heating element is located under the furnace floor), take W as the smaller value

4. The furnace can be ventilated, and W can be increased by 30-50%

5. With the top pick element, take the larger W (which can be increased by 30-50%)

6. Replace difficult components with smaller W

4、 Recommended surface load for alloy components

Material Heating Element Temperature (Unit: Celsius)

Less than 1000, less than 1100, less than 1200

OCr25Al5 1.6--1.8 1.2--1.5 0.81

Cr20Ni80 1.1 0.5--0.8

Cr15Ni60 0.8

When CrAl7Mo2 is between 1200-1300 degrees, W is taken as 1.6-1.8

5、 Pure metal surface load

W. When Mo and Ta are less than 1800 degrees, W is taken as 10-20W/cm2

Graphite W less than 15-20W/cm2

Calculation of experimental furnace power

The empirical formula for estimating power is as follows:

P=C×[τ^(-0.5)]×F^(0.9)×t^(1.55) (k W)

τ - the time for the empty furnace to reach the working temperature;

F - the effective area of the inner wall of the furnace, including the sum of all areas of the furnace bottom, side walls, and furnace top (m2);

T-working temperature of the furnace;

C - coefficient, 30-35 for furnaces with high heat dissipation and 20-25 for furnaces with low heat dissipation.

Given P, F, and t, selecting C can theoretically estimate the time τ for the empty furnace to reach its operating temperature.

After adding the workpiece to the furnace, the time it takes for the furnace to reach the working temperature is longer than τ. Because there are many factors that affect energy consumption, it is impossible to accurately estimate it. One on-site measurement can be conducted as a basis for estimating energy consumption when starting the furnace in the future.
