The core principle of a gas diluter is the law of partial pressure of gases. When a high concentration target gas is mixed with a dilution gas in a specific ratio, both will diffuse uniformly according to their respective partial pressures, forming the desired low concentration mixed gas. This process is achieved by accurately controlling the flow rates of two gases to ensure the accuracy of the output concentration. By using a high-precision Mass Flow Controller (MFC), the gas flow rate can be finely adjusted with a small error range.
According to different application scenarios, it can be divided into dynamic dilution and static dilution. Dynamic dilution is mixing under continuous flow, suitable for scenarios that require real-time monitoring and adjustment; Static dilution is the mixing of a certain amount of gas enclosed in a container, suitable for preparing standard gases of fixed concentration. Equipped with real-time monitoring and feedback adjustment functions, the sensor detects the concentration of the output gas in real time, compares it with the set value, automatically adjusts the gas flow rate, ensures the stability of the output gas concentration, and avoids fluctuations.
Precautions for using gas diluter:
1. Preliminary preparation and environmental requirements
-Read the instruction manual: Before use, be sure to carefully read the product manual to understand the performance, operating methods, and safety precautions of the equipment.
-Gas source treatment: Ensure that the quality and pressure of the gas source meet the requirements of the gas diluter. The gas source should be properly filtered and dried to remove impurities and moisture, in order to prevent impurities from entering the instrument and damaging internal components; At the same time, according to the instructions of the instrument, adjust the pressure of the gas source to the appropriate value. Generally speaking, the pressure fluctuation range should be controlled within a small range to ensure the stability of the dilution process.
-Placement: Place the instrument on a stable workbench to ensure smooth operation.
2. Daily operation standards
-Maintain cleanliness: Pay attention to keeping the operating table clean to prevent debris, gases, and reagent waste from falling into the equipment, which may affect its operation and effectiveness.
-Follow the process: In the operation, if special circumstances are involved, it is necessary to strictly follow the operation process and safety operation regulations to ensure the safety and stability of the operation process.
-Prohibition of private modification: It is strictly prohibited to modify or repair gas dilution equipment without authorization from relevant personnel, unless possessing relevant qualifications and skills; If there is a problem or malfunction with the gas dilution instrument equipment, please immediately contact professional maintenance personnel for repair or replacement.
3. Maintenance and upkeep points
-Regular calibration of MFC: To prevent residual gas pollution, it is recommended to calibrate the Mass Flow Controller (MFC) once a year to ensure flow accuracy.
-Compatibility of standard gases: If the alarm detects non methane gases (such as hydrogen and acetone), corresponding standard gases should be used for dilution and cannot be directly replaced.
-Check air tightness: During use, regularly check the air tightness of the equipment to ensure that no leakage occurs.
