Effective management of ion exchange resin beds is crucial for achieving optimal performance in ultrapure water systems. The preventive maintenance plan adopted for regenerating and replacing ion exchange resins has a fixed implementation frequency and strong timeliness; Compared to this, continuous real-time monitoring of ultrapure water quality behind the mixed resin bed and polishing loop resin bed is a better control strategy. If the resin bed is about to run out before time-based resin replacement and regeneration, harmful ion pollutants will enter the ultrapure water. On the contrary, if the resin is regenerated or replaced too frequently, it will unnecessarily increase operating costs. Due to differences in ion affinity, using an online boron concentration analyzer to detect the effectiveness of ion exchange is superior to using an online silica analyzer to achieve the same goal.
