Safety operating procedures and maintenance points for remote electromagnetic water meters
Date: 2025-06-24Read: 24
1Remote transmission electromagnetic water meterSafety operating procedures
Installation and disassembly
Before installation, it is necessary to check the compatibility between the water meter model and the pipeline to ensure good ventilation and no strong vibration or magnetic interference in the working environment. The integrated antenna water meter should avoid direct sunlight on the dial, and the split antenna should be fixed at the deep well mouth to ensure smooth communication.
During operation, the inlet and outlet valves must be cut off, and the operator must wear safety equipment. It is strictly prohibited to hold the converter or junction box with hands or ropes.
power management
Ensure correct power wiring, regularly check for aging or damage to the circuit, and avoid short circuits or fire hazards.
Select high-quality power equipment, maintain a clean power supply environment, and avoid dust and moisture affecting equipment operation.
Configure a backup power supply to ensure that the water meter can still function properly in case of power interruption.
Remote communication security
Set username and password according to the requirements of the water management department, and prohibit leakage.
Regularly check the status of communication equipment to ensure secure and reliable data transmission.
daily use
Avoid using high-power, high-frequency electromagnetic interference equipment (such as welding machines, high-frequency furnaces) near the water meter.
Unauthorized disassembly or modification of water meters is prohibited to prevent damage or illegal activities.
When home decoration or pipeline maintenance, it is necessary to avoid the installation position of the water meter to prevent pipeline rupture or damage to the circuit.
2、 Maintenance points
regular cleaning
Wipe the water meter casing and display screen with a soft dry cloth, avoiding the use of chemical solvents or corrosive materials.
Clean the surrounding environment of the water meter to prevent dust and debris from affecting measurement accuracy.
Check the sealing performance
Regularly check whether the inlet and outlet valves of the water meter are loose or leaking, ensuring that the connecting pipes and valves are not damaged.
Check if there are cracks or deformations on the water meter casing, and if the characters on the display screen are clear and complete.
Calibration and verification
Regularly calibrate water meter readings and compare them using standard flow meters to ensure measurement errors are within an acceptable range.
The calibration frequency depends on the usage environment and frequency, and it is generally recommended to perform it once a year.
Prevent freezing and icing
In cold seasons, measures such as heaters, insulation sleeves, or insulation cotton should be taken to keep the water meter temperature within a safe range.
Avoid external impact
Protect the water meter from external impact and compression, and avoid placing heavy objects or engaging in strenuous activities around the water meter.
Prevent water pollution
Regularly check the water quality, and take timely purification measures if any abnormalities or impurities are found.
Filter the water entering the water meter to prevent impurities from accumulating and causing malfunctions.
Maintenance Record
Establish maintenance records, including maintenance dates, content, personnel, and other information, to facilitate tracking of maintenance history and timely detection of issues.
Replace vulnerable parts
Remote transmission electromagnetic water meterRegularly replace magnetic components and seals, usually with a replacement cycle of three to five years.
