Exploration of Core Technology of Pure Water Ultra Pure Water Machine: Gradual Purification Logic from Pre treatment to Ultra Purification Column
Date: 2025-10-27Read: 2
The core technology of pure water ultra pure water machine lies in its step-by-step purification logic, from pretreatment to ultra purification column, each step is precisely designed to ensure that the water quality meets the rigorous standards of laboratory or industrial applications.
The preprocessing stage is the cornerstone of the entire purification process. The raw water first passes through a quartz sand filter to remove suspended particles and colloids larger than 10 microns, preventing subsequent reverse osmosis membrane failure due to blockage. Next, activated carbon filters utilize their porous structure to adsorb residual chlorine, small molecule organic compounds, and odors, reducing the risk of chemical pollution. If the hardness of the raw water is high, the softener will remove calcium and magnesium ions through ion exchange technology to avoid fouling of the reverse osmosis membrane. The core goal of this stage is to reduce the impurity load in the influent and create conditions for subsequent deep purification.
The reverse osmosis (RO) stage is the core of the purification process. Driven by a high-pressure pump, water molecules pass through the RO membrane with a pore size of only 0.1 nanometers, while more than 99% of impurities such as dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses are intercepted. At this point, the resistivity of the produced pure water can reach 1-50 microsiemens/cm, but there is still a gap from the standard for ultrapure water.
The ultra purification stage achieves deionization through ion exchange or EDI technology. Ion exchange resin selectively adsorbs residual ions using sulfonic acid or quaternary ammonium groups, producing high-purity water with a resistivity of 5-15 megaohms per centimeter. EDI technology combines electric field with ion exchange, driving ion migration to the concentrated water chamber through current, achieving resin self regeneration and continuously producing ultrapure water with a resistivity of 18.2 megaohms · cm, without the need for chemical regeneration.
In the terminal processing stage, dual wavelength ultraviolet lamps (185 nanometers and 254 nanometers) are used to destroy microbial nucleic acids and degrade total organic carbon (TOC), combined with 0.22 micron filter membranes to intercept particles, ensuring "absolute purity" of water quality.
