Key points for daily maintenance of fully automatic infrared oil analyzer
Date: 2025-12-09Read: 0
  Fully automatic infrared oil analyzerIt is a core instrument for precise determination of oil substances in fields such as water quality monitoring and environmental testing. Its detection accuracy and service life directly depend on the standardization of daily maintenance. The following are simple and easy to understand maintenance points that can be directly implemented, covering the core components of the instrument.
1、 Overall instrument environment maintenance
Place environmental control measures
The instrument should be securely placed on a dry, dust-free, and electromagnetic interference free laboratory countertop, avoiding direct sunlight and severe temperature fluctuations (it is recommended to maintain an ambient temperature of 15-30 ℃ and a relative humidity of ≤ 70%).
At least 10cm of ventilation space should be reserved around the instrument to ensure smooth heat dissipation, while keeping away from corrosive gases and volatile organic solvents to prevent component corrosion.
Regularly clean the casing
Dip a clean soft cloth into a small amount of anhydrous ethanol or distilled water every week to wipe the instrument casing and operation panel, remove surface dust and stains, and prohibit the use of strong acid and alkali cleaning agents to avoid scratching the coating of the panel and casing.
2、 Optical system maintenance
The optical system is the core of the oil measuring instrument, which directly affects the detection accuracy and requires key maintenance:
Maintenance of light source components
The built-in infrared light source of the instrument has a fixed service life. Generally, the intensity of the light source needs to be checked every 1-2 years. If there is flickering of the light source or unstable detection baseline, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer for replacement in a timely manner.
Avoid frequent switching of light sources in daily life to reduce light source loss. If the instrument is idle for more than 1 hour, it can be turned on in standby mode to reduce the workload of the light source.
Sample pool/colorimetric dish maintenance
Clean in a timely manner after use: After each test is completed, immediately rinse the sample cell with carbon tetrachloride or a specialized cleaning agent, rinse 2-3 times with distilled water, and finally blow dry with clean nitrogen or air dry naturally to avoid residual oil samples and solvents adhering to the cell wall and affecting subsequent testing.
Regular inspection of sealing: Check the sealing gasket of the sample pool every month. If aging or cracking occurs, it should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent leakage and damage to the internal components of the instrument; At the same time, avoid collisions with the sample pool to prevent scratches on the optical window.
Classified storage: The cleaned sample pool should be placed in a dedicated dust-proof box and stored separately from the uncleaned sample pool to prevent cross contamination.
Detector maintenance
The detector needs to be kept clean and dry. The manufacturer's engineer can be contacted quarterly for internal dust removal and sensitivity calibration. Non professionals are prohibited from disassembling detector components to avoid irreversible damage.
3、 Maintenance of pipelines and injection systems
Pipeline cleaning
After each test, start the instrument's built-in pipeline cleaning program, rinse the injection pipeline with specialized cleaning solution, and remove residual samples and reagents from the pipeline; If it is not used for a long time, pure nitrogen should be used to blow dry the residual liquid in the pipeline to prevent pipeline blockage or corrosion.
Check the pipeline for aging and damage every six months. If there is any leakage, replace the corresponding pipeline in a timely manner.
Injection needle maintenance
The injection needle should be kept unobstructed. If there is a blockage, a dedicated needle can be used to clear it first, and then the solvent can be repeatedly rinsed; Regularly check the injection accuracy of the sampling needle. If the deviation exceeds the allowable range, contact the manufacturer for calibration.
4、 Circuit and control system maintenance
Circuit component inspection
Check the connection of the power and data cables of the instrument every month to ensure that the interface is secure and not loose, and to avoid instrument crashes or data abnormalities caused by poor contact; If the circuit is damaged, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent short circuits.
The built-in fan of the instrument needs to be dusted once every quarter, and the dust on the fan blades and heat dissipation ports should be blown with the cold air mode of the hair dryer to ensure the normal operation of the heat dissipation system.
Software system maintenance
Regularly backup testing data and instrument parameters to prevent data loss; Follow the manufacturer's instructions for software version updates and prohibit unauthorized installation of unrelated software to avoid system crashes or program conflicts.
If software crashes or parameters cannot be saved, you can restart the instrument first. If the problem still persists, contact the manufacturer's technical personnel in a timely manner for handling.
5、 Regular calibration and maintenance cycle
Daily calibration: After each startup, use a standard oil sample for baseline calibration and single point calibration to ensure detection accuracy;
Monthly maintenance: complete sample pool sealing inspection, pipeline cleaning, and circuit connection inspection;
Quarterly maintenance: Contact the manufacturer for detector dust removal, light source intensity testing, and injection accuracy calibration;
Annual maintenance: Comprehensive disassembly and maintenance, replacement of aging components, completion of overall performance calibration, and issuance of calibration reports will be carried out by the manufacturer's engineers.
6、 Precautions
During maintenance, it is necessary to first turn off the instrument power and unplug the power cord to prevent electric shock;
All replacement parts must be original factory parts to avoid affecting instrument performance due to model mismatch;
Establish a maintenance ledger to record the time, content, and instrument status of each maintenance, facilitating problem tracing.
