How to install correctly:
Location selection: The safety valve must be installed vertically at the highest point of the equipment or pipeline, such as the highest position of the boiler drum or header, or the gas phase interface position of the pressure vessel. For steam applications, it should be installed above the pipeline so that condensed water does not accumulate upstream of the valve disc.
Pipeline connection: The cross-sectional area of the pipeline connecting the safety valve should not be less than the inlet cross-sectional area of the safety valve. If multiple safety valves share the inlet pipeline, their cross-sectional area should be at least 25 times the total exhaust area of all safety valves. The outlet pipeline should be directed to a safe location, and the inner diameter should be larger than the outlet diameter of the safety valve to avoid back pressure.
Valve setting: In principle, no valve should be installed between the safety valve and the container. But for flammable, explosive, toxic or viscous media, a shut-off valve can be installed for easy cleaning or replacement, but the valve must be kept fully open and sealed with lead during normal operation.
Preparation before installation: The newly installed safety valve should be accompanied by a product certificate of conformity. Before installation, it needs to be recalibrated and sealed with lead.
Notes:
The outlet of the safety valve must be kept unobstructed, and a drainage pipe must be installed at the bottom of the exhaust pipe, and valves must not be installed.
For containers containing flammable or toxic media, the discharge pipe must be directly connected to a safe outdoor location and no valves must be installed.
