Instructions for using the clarity tester
Date: 2025-07-17Read: 1
  Clarity testerUsage method:
Usage: Standardized operation ensures the reliability of results
Sample preparation
Cleanliness: Ensure that the sample is free of bubbles and impurities to avoid interference with the test. For example, when testing traditional Chinese medicine oral liquids, they need to be allowed to settle and defoam before testing.
Uniformity: Fully mix the sample (such as stirring or shaking) to prevent particle precipitation from causing result deviation.
Preprocessing: Dilute or filter according to the characteristics of the sample. For example, high turbidity wastewater needs to be diluted to within the instrument range (such as 0-100 NTU).
Instrument preparation
Power on preheating: Connect the power and preheat for 10-15 minutes to ensure stable light source (such as LED light source lifespan exceeding 50000 hours).
Zero point calibration: Use deionized water or blank solution with a turbidity value of 0 NTU for calibration to eliminate system errors.
Parameter settings:
Select the range based on the turbidity of the sample (such as 0-10 NTU, 10-100 NTU, 100-1000 NTU).
Set the detection time (e.g. any time limit of 1-79 seconds) and illumination conditions (e.g. 1000-4000 Lx).
Attachment connection: Insert the illuminance sensor plug, adjust the knob to the desired illuminance, and then unplug the plug.
Detection operation
Sample loading: Pour the sample into a clean and dry turbidity bottle or sample pool to avoid residual liquid affecting the results.
Place in the measurement room: Ensure that the sample cell is in the correct position and cover it with a light shielding cover to prevent external light interference.
Start test: Press the test button, and the instrument will automatically detect and display the results (such as NTU value).
Real time monitoring: View test progress and results through a full-color LCD touch screen, supporting data storage and export.
Result Analysis
Conformity assessment: Determine whether the sample is qualified according to industry standards (such as the clarity test method in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 0902). For example, the turbidity of the injection should be ≤ 10 NTU.
Data recording: Utilize four level permission management and audit tracking functions to record testing time, operators, sample information, etc., supporting traceability analysis.
Exception handling: If the result is abnormal (such as a repeatability error greater than 0.5%), the instrument needs to be recalibrated or the sample status needs to be checked.
instrument maintenance
Daily cleaning: Regularly wipe the sample tank and measurement room to avoid residual liquid corroding optical components.
Light source replacement: After the lifespan of the LED light source expires (usually more than 5 years), contact the manufacturer for replacement to ensure measurement stability.
Regular calibration: Use standard turbidity solution (such as Formazin standard solution) for calibration every 3-6 months to ensure that the indication error is less than or equal to ± 2% F.S.
