  Constant temperature and humidity light incubatorIt is the core equipment for biological experiments such as plant tissue culture, microbial breeding, and seed germination testing. By accurately controlling temperature (± 0.5 ℃), humidity (± 3% RH), and light intensity (adjustable from 0-10000Lx), it simulates the light temperature humidity conditions in natural environments and provides stable growth space for experimental subjects. For beginners who are new to it, mastering the "Quick Start Three Step Method" (device recognition → basic settings → daily operations) can efficiently initiate the experimental process.
1、 Initial Equipment Identification: Key Components and Functional Positioning
After receiving the incubator, familiarize yourself with its external structure and core functional areas:
Box body: observation window with double-layer insulated glass (for real-time viewing of internal samples), stainless steel inner liner (corrosion-resistant and easy to clean), and insulation layer thickness (usually ≥ 100mm to ensure insulation);
Control panel: The core is the LCD display screen (displaying temperature, humidity, light intensity, and running time), with temperature/humidity setting keys, light mode switching keys (such as "day/night cycle" and "constant light"), power switch, and alarm indicator lights (red light indicates abnormality) distributed below;
Sensors: The top of the box is equipped with temperature/humidity probes (to avoid obstruction, otherwise the reading deviation will be greater than 5%) and light sensors (usually integrated near the LED light group on the top panel);
Humidification/dehumidification system: located at the rear of the box (humidity is adjusted by ultrasonic atomizer or steam generator), with a drainage port connected to an external water tank via a hose (needs to be regularly cleaned to prevent blockage);
• Lighting module: Top or side mounted LED light board (spectral coverage of plant photosynthesis effective band 400-700nm), adjustable brightness in multiple levels (simulating the light gradient from sunrise to sunset).
2、 Basic settings: from parameter input to mode selection
Step 1: Power on preheating
Connect the 220V power supply (ensure voltage stability, fluctuation<± 10%), turn on the main power switch, and the display screen will light up and show the current ambient temperature/humidity (which may differ from the set value due to unstable cabinet, which is a normal phenomenon). Preheat for 30 minutes and wait for the internal temperature to approach room temperature before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2: Parameter Setting
Taking the "Arabidopsis Seed Germination Experiment" as an example (requirements: temperature 25 ℃± 0.5 ℃, humidity 70% RH ± 5%, light intensity 1500Lx, 16 hours of light/8 hours of dark cycle):
1. Temperature setting: Press the "Temperature ↑/↓" key to set the target value to 25.0 ℃ (screen displays "SP: 25.0"), press Enter to confirm;
2. Humidity setting: Press the "Humidity" button to enter the adjustment interface, enter 70% RH (some models require fine-tuning through the "+/-" button), confirm, and the screen will display the current humidity and target value;
3. Lighting settings: Press the "Lighting Mode" button, select "Day Night Cycle", and use the "Lighting Intensity" button to set the daytime (lighting period) to 1500Lx (adjustable by brightness level, usually 1-10 levels correspond to 0-10000Lx) and nighttime (dark period) to 0Lx; then press the "Time" button to set the lighting duration to 16 hours and the dark duration to 8 hours (or directly select the preset "16h/8h" shortcut mode).


Step 3: Pattern Verification
After setting up, press the "Run" button to start the device. Observe the real-time data on the display screen: the temperature should start to rise/fall within 5-10 minutes (approaching 25 ℃), the humidity should stabilize within 15-20 minutes (approaching 70% RH), and the displayed value of the light intensity meter (optional accessory) should be consistent with the set value. If the parameters have not changed for a long time (such as no fluctuation in temperature for 10 minutes), check if the sensor is obstructed by the sample or if the probe is faulty (contact after-sales service).
3、 Daily operation: Sample placement and maintenance reminder
Place the petri dishes/flasks evenly on the shelf (avoid stacking and blocking the light, with a spacing of ≥ 3cm), and the distance between the first shelf and the top light board should be ≥ 10cm (to prevent local overheating). During the experiment, do not open the door unless necessary (each time the door is opened, it will cause temperature fluctuations>2 ℃ and humidity to decrease by more than 10%). If it is necessary to observe the sample, quickly open and close the door and try to shorten the time as much as possible. After the daily experiment, record the actual temperature/humidity/light data inside the box (compared with the set values, if the deviation is greater than ± 10%, calibration is required).
