The specifications that need to be followed when using Vertex electrochemical workstations
Date: 2025-08-18Read: 68
Vertex electrochemical workstation is a high-precision scientific research instrument widely used in fields such as electrochemical research, material analysis, and sensor development. To ensure the accuracy of experimental results, long-term stability of equipment, and safe operation, the following specifications must be strictly followed during use:
1、 Vertex Electrochemical Workstation Laboratory Environmental Requirements
1. Temperature and humidity control
The ideal ambient temperature is 20 ± 5 ℃, avoiding extreme temperature fluctuations (such as direct air conditioning or near heat sources); It is recommended to maintain a relative humidity of 40%~60% to prevent circuits from being affected by moisture, short circuits, or metal components from corroding.
2. Electromagnetic interference shielding
Stay away from strong electromagnetic field equipment such as large motors, transformers, and mobile phone base stations. If necessary, use Faraday cages or metal shielding covers to wrap the instruments and reduce noise signal interference.
3. Vibration isolation
Place the workstation on a stable experimental platform to avoid sharing the same desktop with equipment that generates mechanical vibrations such as centrifuges and vacuum pumps.
4. Cleanliness management
Regularly clean the surface dust of the instrument, especially the connection ports and cooling fans; Do not operate for long periods of time in environments with high dust concentration (such as polishing sample areas).
2、 Contraindications for startup behavior of Vertex electrochemical workstation
1. Live plugging and unplugging cables or replacing accessories (which can easily cause electrostatic discharge and damage chips);
2. Directly touch the tip of the working electrode with your hand (oil/sweat can contaminate the testing system);
3. Sudden power failure without closing the software (may result in data loss or file damage).
3、 Reliability Assurance Measures for Vertex Electrochemical Workstation Data
1. Before each experiment, run a blank control (only electrolyte without sample) and deduct the background current;
2. For dynamic techniques such as LSV linear scanning, bidirectional scanning averaging is used to counteract capacitance effects;
3. Enable automatic save function during long-term testing (save every 5 minutes) to prevent data loss in case of sudden power failure.
4、 Vertex Electrochemical Workstation Safety Operating Procedures
Protection against hazardous chemicals
1. Corrosive substances (such as concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid): must be operated in a fume hood, wearing triple protection of goggles, chemical resistant gloves, and apron;
2. Flammable solvents (acetonitrile, ethanol): Keep away from open flames/high temperature surfaces and use explosion-proof junction boxes;
3. Toxic gas generation experiment (hydrogen evolution reaction): Ensure that the ventilation rate is ≥ 12 times/hour and equipped with a gas alarm.
