Maintenance Guide for Temperature Calibration Instrument
Date: 2025-10-14Read: 18
Temperature calibratorIt is a specialized instrument used for calibrating and verifying the accuracy of temperature measurement equipment, widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals and food.
The temperature calibrator calibrates temperature display instruments, transmitters, etc. by simulating the output signals of sensors such as thermocouples and thermistors (such as PT100) to ensure that the measurement accuracy meets the requirements. Its core functions include:
Analog temperature signal output (such as 4-20mA current, voltage, resistance signals)
Support calibration of thermocouples (such as K-type, J-type) and thermistors (such as PT100)
Some models have automatic step testing and data recording functions
Working Principle:
Mainly used for calibration and maintenance of temperature components (thermocouples, platinum resistors, thermometers), temperature transmitters (sensors), temperature switches, and temperature display instruments. Especially in industrial applications, thermometers, thermocouples, and other temperature sensors are subject to accelerated aging due to mechanical, thermal, and chemical factors. In an increasing number of industrial processes, temperature has become an important factor affecting quality, operational reliability, and service life. Equipping a temperature calibrator on site has become particularly important.
Daily maintenance steps:
Cleaning and maintenance:
Wipe the casing with a soft cloth every week to prevent corrosive solvents from coming into contact with the display screen and interface.
Internal dust needs to be cleaned with compressed air to prevent it from affecting the heat dissipation of the circuit board.
Connection check:
Regularly test the firmness of the wiring terminals, and a dedicated cable is required for the four wire heating resistor to reduce lead errors.
The aging of compensation wires can lead to the failure of cold end compensation, and it is recommended to replace them every 6 months.
Function self check:
Verify the measurement accuracy with a known resistance value (such as a 100 Ω standard resistance) before use.
Stop immediately and send for inspection when abnormal display or error exceeds the standard.
