The principle, key technologies, and application of multi-channel automatic dilution instrument in high-throughput analysis
Date: 2025-09-19Read: 0
The multi-channel automatic dilution instrument achieves efficient and accurate liquid processing through three core technologies: multi-channel independent control, precision fluid distribution, and dynamic mixing optimization. Its working principle is based on fluid ratio control and real-time mixing logic: each channel integrates high-precision plunger pumps or peristaltic pumps (with an accuracy of up to μ L level), which can independently set parameters such as suction volume and flow rate, and support parallel separation of 4 liquids and 4 volumes; Stepper motor drives the pump body, combined with sensors to monitor the flow rate in real-time (accuracy ± 0.5%), ensuring that the volume error of the separated liquid is less than 1%; The diluent and mother liquor are rapidly mixed in the mixing chamber using turbulence or a static stirrer (such as PTFE blades), and the mixing time can be controlled within 0.1-1 seconds. The system feeds back the concentration changes through a UV visible spectrophotometer, dynamically adjusts the flow ratio, and the final concentration fluctuation is less than 0.5%.
The key technologies include non-contact liquid separation technology (electromagnetic valve controls the direction of liquid injection to avoid cross contamination caused by liquid hanging on the suction head), machine vision constant volume (real-time capture of liquid level and automatic stop, constant volume error ± 0.4%), and intelligent Android control software (supporting process based condition setting and remote monitoring). For example, in soil heavy metal detection, the equipment can automatically identify 50mL volumetric flasks, taking a total of 18 minutes for 10 samples, which is 5 times more efficient than manual testing and meets the B-level standard of JJG196-2006 Common Glass Quantifiers.
In high-throughput analysis, multi-channel design significantly improves processing capability. The MDPro400 high-throughput gradient dilution instrument can simultaneously process 1-4 microplates and complete 320 plates (nearly 30000 concentration ratios) in 8 hours, increasing the speed of drug antibody development by more than 10 times; In the field of environmental monitoring, multi-channel pumps support parallel separation of four liquids, increasing the sample volume by 3-5 times in a single processing and shortening the pre-treatment time for large-scale experiments. Its modular design can also seamlessly integrate with automatic samplers and analyzers, building a fully automated experimental platform and promoting the development of laboratories towards intelligence and integration.
