Intelligent portable chart recorders may encounter various faults during use. Here are some common faults and their solutions:
1、 Not turning on or crashing
Check power supply: Ensure that the car charger or power adapter is working properly and the indicator light should be on. Try replacing the power adapter or charging cable to troubleshoot the power issue.
Remove the memory card: After eliminating the power factor, remove the memory card of the recorder and press the power button. If the recorder can power on, it may be a problem with the memory card. Try formatting the memory card or replacing it with a new high-speed memory card (it is recommended to use a genuine C6 or higher high-speed card).
Reset Recorder: If the recorder still cannot be turned on after removing the memory card, you can try pressing the "reset" button on the side of the machine to restore the factory settings.
2、 Video recording issue
Video recording automatically stops or freezes:
Check if the loop recording function is set and ensure it is turned on.
Check the gravity sensing (G-sensor) settings. If set to high or on, machine shaking during recording may automatically lock files, causing the memory card to become full. Suggest setting gravity sensing to low or off state.
Check if the motion detection function is turned on. If it is turned on, the recorder may stop recording if there is no object displacement during the recording process. Suggest turning off the motion detection function.
Unclear or blurry recording:
Check if the recorder lens is clean. If there are any dirt or fingerprints, use lens paper to wipe it clean.
Check if the car windshield is clean. If there are stains, use a cloth to wipe it clean.
Check if the voltage of the recorder is stable. Insufficient voltage may cause unclear recording.
Horizontal stripe interference appears in the video recording:
Set according to the local power supply frequency, selecting 50HZ (PAL) domestically and 60Hz (NTSC) internationally.
3、 Display issues
LCD backlit but without character or curve display:
Check if the instrument display cable is connected properly.
Try restarting the recorder to see if it can restore normal display.
Stripes or snowflakes appear on the screen:
Check if the car charger is powered on and if the indicator light on the car charger is on.
Try using the car charger equipped with the original recorder to avoid insufficient power supply caused by insufficient current.
4、 Connection and communication issues
Equipment offline or poor signal:
If the device has an antenna, place the antenna head near a window or door where the signal is good.
Check if the device has inserted a SIM card and ensure that the SIM card status is available, data usage, and service fees are normal.
Try restarting the device to see if the connection can be restored.
WIFI distribution network failure:
Ensure that the device only supports 2.4GHz networks, or networks where 2.4G and 5G coexist.
Try using an Android 4G mobile hotspot as a WIFI network connection test to see if the network can be successfully connected.
Check if the WIFI configured on the device is connected to the same WIFI as the phone.
5、 Other common questions
Poor contact between recorder and sensor:
Clean the metal contacts of the recorder and sensor base with alcohol swabs.
Re tighten the recorder and confirm that the display is normal before turning it on.
Insert the recorder into another sensor base of the same type to troubleshoot.
Battery aging or low power:
If the recorder is used for a long time, the battery may age, resulting in insufficient power. Try charging before use, or contact customer service to replace the battery.
Ensure that the recorder is used with sufficient battery to avoid the device entering standby mode due to low battery.
