maintenance and upkeepAutomatic distillation apparatusIt is the key to ensuring its long-term stable operation and experimental accuracy. Here is a detailed set of maintenance and upkeep guidelines:
1、 Regularly inspect key components
Circulating pump, agitator, heater: Regularly check the operation of these components to ensure they are working properly without any abnormal sounds or vibrations.
Heating device: Check if the heating tube is damaged and if the heating power is normal. If the heating tube is found to be burnt or broken, it should be replaced in a timely manner.
Cooling system: Check the flow rate, water quality, and cooling effect of the cooling water. If the cooling water flow is insufficient, the water pump and pipeline should be checked; If the water quality is poor, the cooling water should be replaced in a timely manner.
2、 Cleaning and maintenance
Internal of the chassis: Regularly clean the water stains, dust, rust, etc. inside the chassis to keep the instrument dry and clean.
Distillation flask and condenser tube: Clean them promptly after each use, using regular detergent, and then rinse them with water. It is strictly prohibited to use hard objects for scraping and cleaning.
Shell surface: Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust, stains, and residual reagents from the surface. Avoid using corrosive cleaning agents to prevent damage to the equipment casing. For areas that are difficult to clean, a soft bristled brush can be used for cleaning.
3、 Water quality selection and management
Initial use: It is recommended to use pure water or distilled water to prevent the formation of scale after prolonged use.
Water quality recycling: When the liquid level is raised to the red mark on the liquid level window, it can be recycled for more than six months.

4、 Sealing inspection
Ensure that the connection between the distillation flask and the condenser flask is well sealed, and the top sealing plug of the distillation flask is effectively connected to the solenoid valve through a hose to prevent air and water leakage.
Regularly check the sealing components of the equipment, such as gaskets, sealing rings, etc., for aging, damage, or deformation. If there are any problems, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
5、 Environmental considerations
Summer high temperature: When the room temperature is above 25 ℃, the cooling effect will decrease. It is recommended to connect an external cooling device or tap water for cooling.
Winter low temperature: When the room temperature is below 0 ℃, it is necessary to take measures to keep the instrument warm and prevent the condensation device from bursting.
6、 Operation precautions
Weighing sensor: The maximum range is 3kg. If there are other requirements, please use the time control mode.
Continuous distillation experiment: To ensure the condensation effect, do not turn off the switch for cold water circulation after one experiment.
Parameter setting: Accurately set distillation parameters according to experimental requirements, including distillation temperature, distillation time, distillate volume, etc.
7、 Establish a maintenance and upkeep system
Develop a plan: It is recommended to conduct maintenance at least once a week.
Record logs: Record the detailed situation of each maintenance and upkeep, including maintenance time, maintenance content, discovered problems, and solutions.
Special maintenance: For unused equipment, it should be turned on for half an hour and tested once during the maintenance cycle to ensure normal equipment performance.
